"The Profiler's Broken Silence" Chapter 10
"Mr. Sebastian, there is still no news about the Madam."
In the Sebastian villa, the secretary spoke cautiously, barely daring to look up at the man before her.
Sebastian’s suit was covered in wrinkles, a dark shadow hung beneath his eyes, and his eyes were bloodshot.
"Keep searching!"
He squeezed those few words out of his throat. The secretary answered submissively and fled the room as if escaping for her life.
Sebastian was never known for having a good temper, but when Clara was around, he had always maintained the persona of a gentle gentleman.
Clara had only been gone for a little over a month, and the mask of the beast had been completely torn to shreds. Sebastian could not suppress the inner rage and panic.
He had never imagined that Clara would truly have the heart to leave, leaving him with nowhere to find her!
Under the harsh lights, Sebastian slumped back despondently.
He was afraid. Afraid of truly losing Clara, afraid that she would never come back.
His phone suddenly rang. Sebastian originally didn't want to answer, but when he looked closer, it was Luna.
"Sebastian, quickly look at Weibo!"
Luna’s voice carried a sob.
Sebastian’s brow twitched. He logged into his account and saw that someone had posted a recording online.
It was exactly what Luna had said to Clara.
"You'll never get my father behind bars in this lifetime!"
"So what if a whole building of people burned to death? You lower-class trash deserved it!"
The vicious tone and words were a far cry from the public's impression of the eldest daughter of the Luna family.
The Luna Group’s stock price plummeted, and the internet was flooded with condemnation.
【What do you mean 'lower-class'? Miss Luna is 'upper-class' and we're 'lower-class' just because we don't have money?!】
【Does this mean Arthur really is the arsonist?】
【How does he have the face to stay alive after killing so many people!】
【And that Sebastian, isn't he Clara’s husband? How could he help the killer...】
Seeing all this, Sebastian’s first reaction was actually a sigh of relief.
Since Clara had posted the recording, he would surely be able to follow the breadcrumbs and find her.
When that time came, he would apologize properly.
Clara loved him so much; she would surely forgive him.
"Sebastian, what should I do? Help me, please?"
Luna’s desperate crying snapped him back to reality.
After all, she was someone who had grown up with him. Hearing her cry so miserably, Sebastian’s heart softened slightly.
He comforted her, "It's okay, I have a way."
After hanging up, he instructed his assistant to arrange a press conference. He would use his identity as Clara’s husband to clear Arthur’s name.
The news of the divorce had been suppressed, and he was confident he could get Clara to return to his side.
Words spoken by a family member of the victim would naturally be more believable.

On the day of the press conference, Sebastian’s private doctor blocked his path.
"Sebastian, are you really going to do this?" The doctor frowned. "Don't you love Clara? Why are you shielding her mortal enemy?"
"Arthur killed her parents! She dreams of getting revenge!"
Sebastian said helplessly, "I was wrong before. I didn't mean to stop her revenge."
"I can make Arthur go bankrupt, make him kneel and apologize, and if Clara wants his life, she can have it."
"But Luna is innocent. She can't have a murderer for a father; she won't be able to handle it!"
"Alright, go back now. Don't interfere so much."
He pushed past the doctor and walked up. The doctor stamped his feet in anger behind him: "Sebastian, you bastard! Just wait until you regret losing your wife!"
"This matter is just a misunderstanding. Luna is young and spoke without thinking."
"I can take responsibility for what I say. As everyone knows, my wife is the sole survivor of that arson case. If Arthur were a criminal, I would never shield him."
"That's right, my wife also recorded a video at the time to clear Mr. Arthur's name..."
Suddenly, a clear voice rang out from among the reporters: "Why are you the one coming out to clarify, while your wife hasn't shown her face?"
Sebastian’s expression stiffened for a moment before recovering. "My wife isn't feeling well and is resting at home."
"Is that so? Isn't it because you and your wife have already divorced?"
Sebastian’s face turned cold. "Which news agency are you from..."
He swept his gaze over, about to lash out, but he froze halfway through his sentence.
The person below removed her face mask, revealing a beautiful and elegant face.
"...Clara?"
Sebastian’s mind went blank for two seconds, and then he was overwhelmed by an immense surge of joy.
Without hesitation, he dropped the microphone, jumped off the stage, and rushed toward Clara.
"Clara, you're finally back!"
Looking at the person right in front of him, Sebastian was even a bit at a loss, not daring to reach out and touch her.
Seeing his face again, Clara was surprised to find that her heart no longer felt any particular emotion.
She said calmly, "Yes, I'm back."
"To all the reporters present: no one can represent me. Mr. Sebastian and I have officially divorced. I will be filing a lawsuit against Arthur immediately."
Sebastian couldn't help but grab her. "Clara, stop messing around! Who's divorced you!"
He lowered his voice: "I can understand you hating Arthur, but you can't sue him. Luna..."
"I will not only sue him, but I will also sue you and Luna."
Clara interrupted him expressionlessly. "Also, please let go. You and I have nothing to do with each other anymore."
Sebastian was stunned.
He had never seen such a cold look in Clara’s eyes.
Nothing to do with each other?
No, impossible. She could never get away from him in this lifetime!
Sebastian suddenly laughed, turned to the reporters, and said with a hint of apology, "Sorry, just a spat with the wife. Everyone please leave for now. I'll hold another press conference another day..."
Clara laughed out of anger: "Sebastian, you are shameless!"
"Stop making a scene." Sebastian looked at her as if looking at a spoiled child. "You know you can't leave me."
If this were in the past, he would have been right.
The Sebastian family was deeply rooted in the city; Clara would have been powerless to escape, let alone send Arthur to prison against his interference.
Clara rolled her eyes. "Sebastian, have you forgotten? Half of the Sebastian estate is mine now."
"You can't trap me anymore."
She pulled away from Sebastian and tapped on her phone.
The big screen behind her displayed their divorce certificate, followed by various pieces of evidence.
Back when Sebastian was pressuring her, Clara hadn't handed over all the evidence.
Included here was evidence of Arthur’s arson crimes, as well as Luna’s calculated efforts to hurt her and lead her sister to suicide.
Case by case, item by item, it was shocking.
The scene fell into a dead silence, followed by a flurry of camera shutters.
Even Sebastian was too stunned to speak.
In his mind, Arthur was the only one who had done wrong.
As for Luna, although she wasn't particularly kind or gentle, she just had a bit of a temper, which was harmless.
He never expected that she had done so many things to hurt Clara!
Was this still the girl he regarded as a sister and carefully protected?!
