Chapter 050: The Ye Family of the Capital

What she said was: "Solas, it's so good to see you again."

In this scene, looking at Solas standing there waiting for her, she simply felt a sudden urge to say those words. There was no other meaning, and she didn't intend for Solas to hear them, so she spoke very quietly, taking advantage of when the music was loudest and the children nearby were making noise.

Her expression only stiffened for a second before quickly recovering. "Ah? Did I say something? Maybe I was just too happy and spoke on impulse—I've already forgotten what I said."

"Forget it, it's not important. What project should we play next? We have to pick some you like; I can't just have you standing aside watching me play."

Solas wanted to say that even if he just watched her play the whole time, it wouldn't matter. He really liked the feeling of "she's playing, he's watching."

However, he didn't say those words out loud.

With Seraphina’s interruption, his attention was diverted, and he didn't look further into what she had actually said.

But he did keep it in his heart; he just tucked it away for the time being. At some appropriate moment or if something special happened, he might pull it out again to scrutinize it. What he would deduce then was still an unknown.

Since she had put it that way, Solas naturally wouldn't refuse. He pointed to the roller coaster over there. "Do you dare play that?"

Seraphina raised an eyebrow slightly. "I do."

Of all the projects in the amusement park, there wasn't a single one she didn't dare play.

From start to finish on the roller coaster, aside from her hair being slightly messy, Seraphina showed no other major changes; her expression remained constant. On the coaster, while the people around her screamed repeatedly, she didn't make a sound, remaining as calm as ever.

This surprised Solas a bit.

She clearly looked delicate, yet she was so brave—completely different from other girls.

As expected of the person he had chosen; she was just that unique.

"Weren't you afraid?" While speaking, his hand instinctively reached out and landed on her head, helping her tidy her messy hair.

This gesture made them both freeze.

Solas's was an involuntary impulse; Seraphina’s was completely unexpected.

The atmosphere suddenly became a bit subtle.

Seraphina didn't feel awkward; in her past life, when she stayed with Solas, he had done things like this often. But looking back now, such a slightly ambiguous gesture was clearly not something that should exist between ordinary close friends. How had she not noticed in her past life?

Her EQ wasn't that low, either.

Ah, probably forgot again.

Instead, it was Solas who felt a bit unnatural after realizing what he had done.

But if he withdrew his hand just like that, it would be far too deliberate and even more awkward.

So Solas paused, then naturally continued tidying her hair. "Your hair is a bit messy." While tucking the hair behind her ear, he accidentally brushed against her ear.

Solas was startled and almost pulled his hand back immediately. Fortunately, he was steady enough not to let his reaction be so intense.

He slowly withdrew his hand and somewhat unnaturally looked away, not meeting her eyes. "What are we playing next?"

Compared to Solas, Seraphina truly felt this was nothing—especially after she had figured out some things, she felt it even less. "Anything is fine."

"Huanhuan, what are you looking at?"

Under the Ferris wheel not far away, someone was filming something.

It was currently a break in filming. In the area occupied by the crew, under a sun umbrella, a woman sat in a chair drinking a cold drink, looking in the direction of Seraphina and Solas.

The question came from her assistant beside her.

Looking closely again, those two figures were no longer visible. The woman frowned slightly and replied, "I thought I saw someone I knew. I must have been mistaken; how could those two people come to an amusement park? Even less likely for them to come together."

"Is that so? I thought you saw others having fun and wanted to play too. If you really want to play, we can find another time. Your filming here today is a public schedule, and there are many fans watching; it's not easy to get away."

"Rest for another ten minutes, then filming over there has to continue."

The woman said with some impatience, "I know."

They weren't filming a TV drama or a variety show; they were just filming a small advertisement.

Seraphina and Solas both saw that someone was filming here, but neither cared who it was.

After playing a few more projects, they prepared to ride the Ferris wheel.

The advertisement was being filmed right under the Ferris wheel.

The primary shots were taking in the scenery of the wheel.

This area was occupied, and no one besides the crew could approach.

"It seems we can't go in." Solas felt a bit of regret.

Coming to an amusement park with someone you like, no one wouldn't want to ride the Ferris wheel together.

"It's fine. This is the largest amusement park in Seahaven; this isn't the only Ferris wheel. We'll just find another one," Seraphina said.

If there weren't two Ferris wheels, how could the park rent this one to a film crew while still selling tickets to tourists as usual? If tourists bought tickets but couldn't play the projects, wouldn't the park be ruining its own reputation?

Just as they were about to leave, they were seen again by the woman who was filming.

This time, the woman saw their faces clearly.

It really was them!

Her expression suddenly became unpredictable.

"Cut!" the director shouted.

"Tiffany Ye, focus! Your expression is wrong. Let's do this take over!"

"Sorry, Director." Tiffany Ye unwillingly withdrew her gaze and apologized to the director.

With such a loud shout, how could Seraphina and Solas not have heard?

Earlier, they hadn't paid attention to who was filming here, but hearing the director shout like that, it was hard not to know.

Until this point, neither cared much about who they ran into here, but the gaze Tiffany Ye used to stare at them was too intense, making it impossible for them to ignore.

The two of them turned their heads back simultaneously.

Tiffany Ye, an actress whose fame was even a bit greater than Gloria's.

However, she was entirely a "vase" without acting skills, mostly playing "silly, sweet, and fair" roles. It was said she became famous based on her looks alone.

Her fame was greater than Gloria's, but in terms of acting skills alone, she couldn't compare to Gloria at all.

As for looks, there were plenty of female stars in the entertainment industry with higher visual appeal than her; it just so happened she made her mark based on her looks.

This, of course, owed much to her family's assistance.

Tiffany Ye, the second young miss of the Ye family in the capital.

The Ye family’s status in the capital was only slightly inferior to that of the Solas family.

And the Solas family was the most mysterious and top-tier family in the capital.

The status of the Ye family could be seen from that.

Seeing Solas also look toward Tiffany Ye, Seraphina asked knowingly, "Do you know her? Is she also an artist under your company?"

In the entertainment industry, Solas held half the territory, and the other half was in the hands of the Ye family.

The second miss of the Ye family was naturally signed to the entertainment company directly under the Ye Group.

"No, she seems to be someone from the Ye family of the capital." Solas explained while also informing Seraphina of Tiffany Ye's identity.

Getting involved with the Ye family of the capital would bring quite a lot of trouble.

Mainly because the current head of the Ye family was a character who wasn't easy to deal with.

Unlike the Solas family, the Ye family wasn't that mysterious. As the eldest miss of the number one family in Seahaven, Seraphina had naturally heard of the Ye family.

That’s why Solas said it directly instead of introducing the Ye family to Seraphina first.

The reason he used "seems to be" was that Solas wasn't entirely sure if Tiffany Ye was indeed from the Ye family.

If she hadn't had some connection to the Ye family, Solas probably wouldn't have had any impression of a character like Tiffany Ye.

"So she's from the Ye family."

Seraphina didn't say much more, only saying, "Let's go."

Compared to Gloria, her dislike for Tiffany Ye was even greater.

It wasn't because of how much interaction she had with Tiffany Ye in her past life, nor was Tiffany Ye one of Solas’s "rotten peach blossoms" in that life.

Her dislike for Tiffany Ye was purely because she was a member of the Ye family.

The Ye family had a second miss, so naturally, they also had an eldest miss...

Not wanting to think about these people she hadn't yet met and ruin today's good mood, Seraphina withdrew her thoughts and walked toward the other Ferris wheel with Solas.

This time, the two successfully boarded the Ferris wheel.
