"Forbidden Pulse: Don't, Uncle!" Chapter 56
Chapter 56: He Wants More
"Okay."
Willow Avery went out cradling the flowers. It wasn't until she reached the nurse's station that it occurred to her someone else must have visited.
Was it Grandpa Sterling?
Would a father and son even send flowers to each other?
Just as she was wondering, the nurse who had been in Julian Kingston's ward earlier looked over at her.
"Aren't these the flowers sent by that girl who came to see Mr. Kingston? Oh my, as expected, when someone is this handsome, they always have this kind of trouble being relentlessly pestered by people."
Willow found it strange. "A girl?"
"Yes," the nurse nodded. "Mr. Kingston even had me call security."
After saying that, she looked at Willow again. "Don't think too much, Mr. Kingston's innocence is still intact."
Willow: "Ahem, cough..."
She hadn't asked about her uncle's innocence, had she?
She handed the lilies out. "Sister, these flowers are for you guys."
"Alright, alright."
The nurse accepted them with a smile.
Willow didn't know if it was just her imagination.
It seemed the look the nurse gave her was incredibly ambiguous.
Just as if... she were shipping them...
...
Inside the ward.
Julian picked up the phone placed in front of him and called Adrian Cross.
"Julian, what on earth are you doing? How come you didn't come to work? You didn't answer when I called you either. I thought you had been kidnapped."
Julian said, "I got into a car accident."
"A car accident?!"
Adrian let out a sharp cry. "What's the situation? Weren't you just flirting with another woman in the private room at the club the day before yesterday? Did you get into a car accident on the way home with someone?"
Julian was too lazy to waste words with him, directly asking, "How did you end up being together with Luna Hayes?"
Adrian recounted the matter of running into her at the hospital.
"I thought she was quite familiar with you, so I just gave her a hand along the way. Who could have imagined you were together with another woman in the private room next door?"
Previously, he had a face full of rippling emotions right in front of him talking about that child of his; he had thought Julian harbored an unrequited love for her.
Complaining a bit in his heart, he continued, "At that time, I was planning to drive her to the club, but who knew she drove a BMW worth several millions herself. I even shamelessly hitched a ride."
Julian narrowed his eyes. "Her driving skills are very good?"
"It’s alright, quite steady," Adrian lamented. "But she suffered a shock upon seeing you together with another woman at the club. When going out, she left me to take a taxi back by myself."
Julian pondered.
This Luna Hayes definitely had a problem.
Adrian's voice quickly traveled over again: "Which hospital are you at? I'll go check on you. Do you want me to dispense some medicine to bring over for you?"

"No need."
Julian said, "No need to recover that fast."
"What?"
Before Adrian could follow up with a question, the phone was hung up over there.
This matter was still completely in a fog. Could he not be allowed to listen to a bit of gossip before hanging up?
...
When Willow returned to the ward, the male caregiver arranged by the butler had also arrived.
He spoke very little.
It was just that upon hearing that he was responsible for the lower body while Willow was responsible for the upper body, his mouth opened wide in astonishment.
The matters of wealthy people were quite complicated.
Willow didn't think that much.
She merely felt that her uncle could finally go to the toilet normally.
But even if it was only wiping his upper body, she couldn't help but blush.
Especially when she touched the man's chest and accidentally met his gaze...
Deep and dark.
As if she were molesting him, and he would lunge over in the next instant.
"Tomorrow Adrian Cross is coming to the hospital."
Julian suddenly opened his mouth. As if her secret thoughts had been pried into, Willow's hand instinctively trembled.
The man let out a muffled groan: "...Be careful."
She was light one moment and heavy the next; he couldn't take it.
"My apologies, Uncle Julian," Willow lightened her force. "Who is Adrian Cross?"
Julian: "My colleague, the man who entered the private room at the club that day."
Willow recalled carefully.
This Adrian Cross was very close to her uncle.
Coupled with the fact that her uncle had mentioned previously that he wanted to take her to meet a friend.
So...
"Uncle Julian took me there that day just to meet him?"
"Mm."
Julian responded.
He had thought Adrian's idea was reliable.
Who knew, this guy actually brought Luna Hayes along.
His brain truly wasn't smart.
It seemed he had to explain things clearly in advance.
Night descended.
Waiting until Willow fell asleep, Julian sent a message to Adrian.
【Come over tomorrow, help me promote the relationship.】
Willow being good to him right now was purely because of the car accident.
But he didn't want it to be like this.
He wants more.
Adrian replied very quickly.
【Leave it to me, perfectly handled.】
Was he thinking of his child's good traits again?
Didn't want that woman from the club anymore?

CompletedChapter 66
Owned by the Devil
Rain hammered against the stone steps of St. Mary’s Cathedral. Mia Clarke backed away instinctively. One step. Then another. Until the cold stone hit her spine and there was nowhere left to go. The convoy had arrived less than thirty seconds ago. Black SUV. Headlights flooding the churchyard. Men in dark suits moving with military precision. And in the middle of all of it— him. Damien Lancaster stepped out of the car like violence wearing a tailored coat. He was devastatingly beautiful. That was the worst part. His looks weren't safe; his charm wasn't human. He was beautiful the way a loaded gun was beautiful: cold, polished, lethal. The priest tried to shield her. Two men pulled him aside instantly. Damien never even looked at them. His eyes stayed locked on Mia the entire time. She felt a sick twist in her stomach—she realized he was furious. Not a loud fury. Not rage. Something quieter. Something infinitely worse. It was the silence of a decision already made. In that quiet, he had already decided the fate of everyone here. “Mia.” Her name left his mouth softly. Almost gently. It frightened her more than a shout ever could. She turned to run. He caught her before she cleared the last step. One hand clamped around her wrist. The other dragged her hard against his chest. No hesitation. No softness. He smelled like rain, menthol smoke, and expensive whiskey. “Mia,” he repeated near her ear, his voice low enough that only she could hear it, “did you really think you could disappear from me?” She pushed against his chest with everything she had. “Let go of me.” That finally made him smile. Slowly. Beautifully. Wrong. “You vanished for eleven days,” he said quietly. “I stopped sleeping on day three.” The church bells rang overhead. Nobody moved. His men didn't even dare to breathe. Damien lowered his head slightly, forehead nearly touching hers. And in that terrifyingly intimate moment— she understood something too late. This man was not trying to win her back. He already believed she belonged to him. Forever.Dark Humor|Mutual Pining|Plot Twist|Yandere|Instant Marriage|Possessive Love|Redemption Arc|Sweet Romance|HE73.7k words5 45
