"The Sickly CEO’s Shared Senses" Chapter 60
60. Love Surges Like a Rushing Tide
The royal blue sapphire-like dream galaxy gown, owing to this sudden shift in posture, swayed into a trailing, gorgeous arc.
Higher up, the girl's slender waist, which could be held in a single hand, was gripped by the man's well-defined hand in an exceptionally restrictive hold.
A rich and domineering scent of agarwood completely overwhelmed her, forcing her to meet those narrow, long, and sharp phoenix eyes.
Under the dim lights, such a gaze wasn't entirely clear, yet it felt as if it could pierce straight through the blue mask on her face and scorch her very soul.
"You..."
His Adam's apple rolled slightly, his deep voice laced with an imperceptible difficulty and trembling as he stared at her, enunciating syllable by syllable: "What is your name?"
Their breaths tangled in disarray, and her heartbeat grew rapid and unhinged.
The bitter emotions that had been suppressed in her heart came crashing down at this moment like an overwhelming, turning tide.
Tara stared at him blankly, and tears actually filled her eyes without her realizing it, finally dropping beneath that cold mask, spreading wildly.
At that instant, a flash of panic clearly crossed his deep eyes, and he subconsciously raised his hand to wipe away the tears that had flowed down to her small chin.
His movements were so gentle, giving off an illusion of deep affection in a daze.
Yet, the scene of him and Mancy sharing that close embrace earlier suddenly flashed across Tara's mind.
His body even still carried that unfamiliar scent of perfume.
Thus, all the lingering deep affection and ambiguity completely collapsed and scattered at this exact moment.
She suddenly pushed him away with force, turning around to flee in panic.
His expression changed, and he immediately gave chase.
The quiet venue also broke into a complete uproar in an instant, like waking from a dream.
"Who is that girl? What is her relationship with CEO Qi?"
"I've never seen CEO Qi lose his composure like this before! Could it be that CEO Qi likes that girl?"
"Shh, keep your voice down, Director Man is still right here."
The discussions rose and fell, low, yet uncontrollably drifting into Mancy's ears.
She stood frozen, her face pale as she stared in the direction of the exit.
In the past, she had always assumed that his aloofness, detachment, and lack of smiles were simply due to his natural personality.
After all, for someone as talented and seemingly omnipotent as him, being arrogant was also his asset.
But just now, the way he treated that girl was so full of treasuring and gentleness—he had even lost all of his composed bearing and calmness.
That love displayed on the surface, churning like a rushing tide, simply had nowhere to hide and no way to be concealed.
All of this felt like a burning slap, crushing her confidence and exposing her secret affection for that man completely to the light, subjecting it to a slow execution and turning it into a complete joke.

Her heart throbbed with intense pain, and Mancy's gaze also darkened bit by bit.
So that woman—who exactly is she?
"Let go of me, I don't know you, let go of me!"
At the entrance of the women's restroom, Tara was pinned tightly against the edge of the vanity by the man's tall and robust frame, struggling continuously.
Unfortunately, it was all a futile effort.
Using only one arm, he easily confined her within his embrace.
If it could be said that he was gentle when they met just now, then right now, he was domineering, fierce, and angry.
"Don't know me?"
He raised his other hand, easily removing the mask from her face, and then reached out to clamp her small chin, forcing her to look up and meet his gaze.
"Look at me carefully, and say that one more time?"
His narrow, long eyes had already taken on a crimson tint, and deep within his dark pupils, there was anger, shock, and heartache—all sorts of intense emotions surfacing within them.
Tara was actually a bit scared of him looking this way, but she still stubbornly refused to deny the lie.
She had said it before—if he fell for someone else, then she wouldn't want him anymore.
She had said it!
Tears became uncontrollable once more, falling like a burst dam as she sobbed pitifully, "You bad thing, I hate you!"
I hate you.
These four words were like a sharp, cold blade stabbing into his heart, thoroughly piercing and tearing apart the relief and joy of finding what he had lost!
Thus, a sky-turning rage burned through his entire chest. He ultimately lost his reason, gripping the slender back of her neck to seal that hateful mouth of hers.
An angry devouring, an unwilling biting, a violent plundering—it was as if he wanted to tear her apart and eat her into his stomach to extinguish the hatred in his heart.
Tara fought back with all her might, using both hands to push him away and strike him, but it was to no avail. In the end, she could only be kissed until she lost all her strength, letting out aggrieved whimpers.
A very, very long time passed before he finally let her go.
By this time, she could no longer stand at all, about to collapse to the floor.
At the critical moment, he easily hooked his hands around her waist and the soft flesh behind her thighs, lifting her to sit on the vanity countertop, his lean, powerful body completely pressing over.
"Say it one more time, who do you hate?"
His furious gaze stared dead at her, and his narrow, long, handsome phoenix eyes were also soaked into a wet red by the hot tears filling his eyelids.
He was actually the one acting aggrieved?
He had done such an intimate thing with another woman and even bullied her, yet he was the one acting aggrieved?

Tara bit her lower lip hard, her tears falling down drop after drop like little pearls, and after a moment, she parted her lips to say, "I hate you, I don't ever want you again!"
After she finished speaking, she began to sob violently, unable to control herself. Her breath was unsteady, and the tip of her nose and the corners of her eyes were flushed a pale pink, looking incredibly heartbroken.
Killian's heart throbbed with pain, yet he heartlessly offered no comfort, instead lifting her up forcefully and carrying her outside.
Thus, the guests who were secretly hiding outside to eavesdrop on the wall awkwardly turned their heads one after another, pretending as if nothing were amiss.
In the end, completely ignored by him, the crowd simply watched as he carried the girl, who was weeping continuously from being bullied, striding out of the banquet hotel.
Mancy stood frozen in place, watching the direction they had left, her mind entirely filled with the image of the girl crying in such an aggrieved and heartbroken manner.
She was so well-behaved, so beautiful, like a lovely ball-jointed doll; when she cried, it made one's heart ache for her especially.
Even though her heart was filled with a sky-turning jealousy, she still had to admit that it was entirely justifiable for him to love her that way.
When Daisy came down from the third floor after sorting out her stomach issue, this was the exact scene she witnessed.
"Ivy!"
She let out a loud shout, suddenly feeling as if the sky were falling, and quickly ran downstairs to give chase.
Unfortunately, by the time she chased outside, that Bentley Batur had already taken the person away forcefully, leaving like a traversing polar star.
"Ugh..."
In the car, a certain little crybaby was still dropping little pearls continuously.
All of this was so dreamlike.
The precious jewel who had vanished from his life had now suddenly appeared before his eyes just like this, so vivid and full of life.
He wanted to know, if she hadn't died back then, where exactly had she been these past few years?
Why was it that though he searched to the ends of the earth, he couldn't find the slightest trace of her?
How on earth had she been living all these years, and why did she only come back to find him now?
He urgently wanted to know, wanted to understand.
But her tears were so dense, so numerous, each one perfectly round, translucent, and full, falling like a fine downpour of rain, giving no one a chance to catch their breath at all.
No matter if he tried to coax her, or if he feigned a threat to scare her, nothing could make her stop.
She resisted his touch, constantly making a scene about wanting to leave, and by the end of her crying, she actually fainted directly away.
"Tara!"

Owned by the Devil
Rain hammered against the stone steps of St. Mary’s Cathedral. Mia Clarke backed away instinctively. One step. Then another. Until the cold stone hit her spine and there was nowhere left to go. The convoy had arrived less than thirty seconds ago. Black SUV. Headlights flooding the churchyard. Men in dark suits moving with military precision. And in the middle of all of it— him. Damien Lancaster stepped out of the car like violence wearing a tailored coat. He was devastatingly beautiful. That was the worst part. His looks weren't safe; his charm wasn't human. He was beautiful the way a loaded gun was beautiful: cold, polished, lethal. The priest tried to shield her. Two men pulled him aside instantly. Damien never even looked at them. His eyes stayed locked on Mia the entire time. She felt a sick twist in her stomach—she realized he was furious. Not a loud fury. Not rage. Something quieter. Something infinitely worse. It was the silence of a decision already made. In that quiet, he had already decided the fate of everyone here. “Mia.” Her name left his mouth softly. Almost gently. It frightened her more than a shout ever could. She turned to run. He caught her before she cleared the last step. One hand clamped around her wrist. The other dragged her hard against his chest. No hesitation. No softness. He smelled like rain, menthol smoke, and expensive whiskey. “Mia,” he repeated near her ear, his voice low enough that only she could hear it, “did you really think you could disappear from me?” She pushed against his chest with everything she had. “Let go of me.” That finally made him smile. Slowly. Beautifully. Wrong. “You vanished for eleven days,” he said quietly. “I stopped sleeping on day three.” The church bells rang overhead. Nobody moved. His men didn't even dare to breathe. Damien lowered his head slightly, forehead nearly touching hers. And in that terrifyingly intimate moment— she understood something too late. This man was not trying to win her back. He already believed she belonged to him. Forever.Dark Humor|Mutual Pining|Plot Twist|Yandere|Instant Marriage|Possessive Love|Redemption Arc|Sweet Romance|HE73.7k words5 89 -
