"Forbidden Pulse: Don't, Uncle!" Chapter 62
Chapter 62: Quite Good-Looking
Clearly, the man hadn't drunk any alcohol.
But his breath still made Willow Avery feel as though her brain were groggy.
She sat to the side, watching them create the group chat and send the photographs.
Although everyone had clamored earlier for thousands or hundreds from Julian Kingston, in the end they only had him send a red packet of two hundred yuan.
Adrian Cross couldn't help but lament: "The people of our hospital are truly considerate; this is saving money for you to marry a wife."
After speaking, he looked toward Willow again: "Little sister, don't you say so?"
These words were truly something Willow had no way to answer.
Could the relationship between the two of them ever walk to that step?
But the two had already kissed, and right now she couldn't come out to explain they were uncle and niece.
Otherwise, it would be just like before, being treated as some perverted roleplay.
Julian cast a light glance at Adrian: "Too far."
Adrian was indignant: "Kill the donkey once the grinding is done."
When they were kissing, how come he didn't say it was too far?
He had watched him enjoy it to no end.
Julian ignored him, having someone deliver a portion of food over for Willow.
Willow happened to be hungry.
Accepting and opening it, it was precisely the flavor profile she preferred, and it was even paired with a portion of brown rice that wouldn't pack on flesh.
Just as she was about to go to the corner to eat, her wrist was suddenly caught by the man.
Julian looked at her: "Running away again?"
Willow tilted her head, looking at him in a total daze.
What did he mean by again?
She hadn't run away before, right?
She was purely AISI afraid that eating would affect them singing and playing games.
The force of Julian holding her grew a bit heavier.
"After every single accident, you always hide from me."
Willow processed it for a moment, letting out an embarrassed smile: "...Is that so?"
She purely felt that, from an ethical standpoint, they ought to maintain a distance.
Julian: "Mm?"
Willow waved her hand: "Won't hide. Today was an accident, I understand."
Even if she comforted herself this way, she still had no way to overlook the warmth from just now.
Fearing the man would see a clue, she pointed at the small round table in the corner.
"I'm hungry, heading over there to eat first?"
Hearing this, Julian only then released her: "I'll carry it over for you."
Without waiting for Willow to speak, he picked up the dining tray and placed it upon the round table, smoothly sitting into a chair to the side as well.
"Uncle Julian," Willow didn't want to disrupt their hospital gathering, "You go play with them, I'll be fine by myself."

Julian knew her temperament.
Fearing she would eat uncomfortably, he gave a response and consequently went to chat with Adrian and the others.
Without Willow by his side, the topics he raised were mostly regarding the aspect of medicine.
Adrian's head grew large listening to it: "Julian, can you discuss the medical conditions tomorrow when we return to the hospital, please?"
Being together with him always carried a feeling that even a gathering was like being at work.
"How about this," he stuffed the microphone into his hands, "You sing a song, displaying your vocals for the little sister to hear? Nowadays, many young girls are voice-obsessed."
Julian looked at him with rare discomfort: "I don't know how."
Adrian: ??
"With a voice as pleasant to hear as yours, you're tone-deaf?"
Julian furrowed his brow, asking back: "Is any person completely flawless?"
"Me, I am completely flawless," Adrian flicked his hair, "Watch me perform!"
He cleared his throat, belting out a piece:
"...False affection, false intent, and false gentleness, coaxing me all the way to your house, driving me away in the dead of night~"
"It's not that I want to drive you away, my husband will use his hands the moment he sees, beating you exactly like beating a dog~"
Julian: "..."
Was this a proper song?
Seizing the time during the interlude, Adrian spoke toward him: "Julian, if you don't work hard in your youth, you’ll be scaling walls in your old age, ha."
Julian raised his hand in aversion, brushing away Adrian's face which was drawing closer and closer.
Yet his line of sight couldn't be suppressed from drifting toward the position where Willow was located.
The young girl had finished her meal, clutching a bottle of a beverage and drinking with relish.
However, he didn't seem to have requested a beverage just now.
Thinking of this, he turned his head to ask Adrian: "Are there beverages in the private room?"
"How is that possible?" Adrian pointed at the table, "There's a massive pile of alcohol, though."
Julian followed the direction to look over, and what he saw were rows upon rows of fruit wine.
Glass bottles, orange.
Identical to what Willow was clutching in her hand.
Julian picked up a bottle.
The alcohol content wasn't high.
Her alcohol tolerance shouldn't be so poor as to succumb to this?
After all, the first time she entered his room, her entire body had been filled with the scent of alcohol, looking as if she had drunk quite a lot.
Initially, he intended to walk over and ask, but Adrian pulled him to sing another song.
By the time he looked over again, Willow had already fallen asleep propped on the sofa.
Julian quickly rose, reaching her side and asking in a small voice:
"Willow? Drunk?"
"Not drunk." Hearing the voice, Willow pulled open a slit between her eyelids, saying in a total muddle, "I'm just a bit sleepy."

Staring at the person in front of her for a moment, she mumbled: "You, come closer a bit."
Julian lowered his body as instructed.
Willow raised her hand, giving his face a pinch.
"This little face, it’s grown quite good-looking."
The rims of Julian's ears surfaced a suspicious red.
It seemed she truly was drunk.
See her drift off to sleep again, he bent his waist and scooped her up.
Bidding farewell to everyone: "The bill is on me, you guys play."
"Alright, Doctor Kingston, when you marry your girlfriend, remember to invite us to eat at the feast."
"Hahaha, she’s still young, right? Estimated that he has to wait two years."
"Getting engaged first works too, lest she get snatched away by someone else."
Their words all fell into Julian's ears.
Looking at Willow whose cheeks were flushed a rosy pink in his embrace.
He felt that an engagement wasn't foolproof either.
When the young girl ran away, she was clean and rapid.
Seeing them leave, Adrian hurriedly grabbed his clothes to chase after them: "Julian, I drank a bit of alcohol just now, give me a lift."
Very soon, the three reached the car.
Julian placed Willow into the passenger seat, fastening the seatbelt properly.
Adrian, who watched the entire process from the back seat, clicked his tongue: "As expected, it’s different once someone is in love. Previously I would have never imagined in my wildest dreams that you would treat a person like this."
Julian was indifferent and detached toward everyone at the hospital.
He was merely a fraction closer with him.
But it was truly only a fraction.
Previously he had even assumed he was an iron man devoid of emotions and desires.
Turns out he just hadn't encountered the one who would make his mortal heart move.
"Oh right," he extended his head to the front, asking curiously, "Tell me a bit, what exactly is the relationship between the two of you? And when did you fall for her? How come there wasn't even a single sign?"
Julian's line of sight lingered on Willow's face for a moment before he said, "Liking someone, does it need a reason?"
Adrian was dumbfounded: "It doesn't? Could it be that she doesn't possess any place that made your heart move particularly?"
Heart move...
A slight curve lifted Julian's thin lips.
"Quite a lot."
Every single place.
Adrian scratched his head: "No, how come I feel like I've been fed dog food?"
Yet he couldn't speak of the specific dog food he had eaten.
Just... quite stuffed.
...
After the Range Rover departed, the window of the black car to the side rolled down slowly.
Luna Hayes's face was revealed.
Because of Julian Kingston's car accident, the Kingston family had made things difficult for the Hayes family.
Right now the Hayes family was under siege from all sides, their situation extremely difficult.
Wanting to apologize, yet they couldn't even see Sterling Kingston's face.
With no options, she could only keep watch outside Julian's hospital, attempting to try her luck.
Following them all along the way, she saw Julian go to pick up Willow, and then bring her to the club.
Looking at the main entrance of the club, Luna recalled the scene she had witnessed in the private room that day once more.
Julian had a woman in his embrace.
And on the day of that car accident, the one inside the car was Willow.
Many coincidences adding together left only one possibility.
The person in Julian's heart was precisely Willow Avery.
The two of them...
Truly exceeded her expectations.
Grasping hold of this handle, there was no telling if she could obtain what she desired.
Pondering it over, she opened the car door, walking toward the club.

CompletedChapter 66
Owned by the Devil
Rain hammered against the stone steps of St. Mary’s Cathedral. Mia Clarke backed away instinctively. One step. Then another. Until the cold stone hit her spine and there was nowhere left to go. The convoy had arrived less than thirty seconds ago. Black SUV. Headlights flooding the churchyard. Men in dark suits moving with military precision. And in the middle of all of it— him. Damien Lancaster stepped out of the car like violence wearing a tailored coat. He was devastatingly beautiful. That was the worst part. His looks weren't safe; his charm wasn't human. He was beautiful the way a loaded gun was beautiful: cold, polished, lethal. The priest tried to shield her. Two men pulled him aside instantly. Damien never even looked at them. His eyes stayed locked on Mia the entire time. She felt a sick twist in her stomach—she realized he was furious. Not a loud fury. Not rage. Something quieter. Something infinitely worse. It was the silence of a decision already made. In that quiet, he had already decided the fate of everyone here. “Mia.” Her name left his mouth softly. Almost gently. It frightened her more than a shout ever could. She turned to run. He caught her before she cleared the last step. One hand clamped around her wrist. The other dragged her hard against his chest. No hesitation. No softness. He smelled like rain, menthol smoke, and expensive whiskey. “Mia,” he repeated near her ear, his voice low enough that only she could hear it, “did you really think you could disappear from me?” She pushed against his chest with everything she had. “Let go of me.” That finally made him smile. Slowly. Beautifully. Wrong. “You vanished for eleven days,” he said quietly. “I stopped sleeping on day three.” The church bells rang overhead. Nobody moved. His men didn't even dare to breathe. Damien lowered his head slightly, forehead nearly touching hers. And in that terrifyingly intimate moment— she understood something too late. This man was not trying to win her back. He already believed she belonged to him. Forever.Dark Humor|Mutual Pining|Plot Twist|Yandere|Instant Marriage|Possessive Love|Redemption Arc|Sweet Romance|HE73.7k words5 45
