"The Stand-In’s Redemption: Playing the Billionaire for Real" Chapter 57
Chapter 57: More Loss Than Gain
Lying in bed that night, Vivian Hale tossed and turned, completely unable to drift into sleep from beginning to end.
It felt as though a piece of her heart had been carved empty, with a freezing wind blowing inside from the exterior that could never be filled.
She could no longer take it for granted to enjoy Silas Vance’s absolute kindness toward her form, otherwise she would only drown increasingly deep.
She gently placed her hand onto her abdomen.
A tiny life was currently being nurtured right there, though it hadn't taken shape just yet.
Yet her heart was already filled to the brim with intense anticipation.
"Baby, will you blame me for failing to grant you a complete and perfect family?"
She murmured to herself, a gentle smile resurfacing across her face right after, "Do not worry, Mommy will grant you a double share of love to fill this vacant void."
She would utilize the entirety of her love to cherish and protect this child, which was also a way to compensate for the family affection she had lost.
Thinking up to this point, she finally slowly slipped into a deep sleep.
Early the next morning, it was already somewhat late by the time Vivian got out of bed.
Silas, however, had already prepared breakfast, seemingly waiting for her form.
"Morning, come eat."
He appeared to have reclaimed his past demeanor once more.
Vivian, however, was completely unable to feel at ease, stepping forward to open her mouth.
"President Vance, I possess a matter requiring me to head out in a bit, so I would like to request a leave of absence from you today, is that alright?"
Silas inquired, "Where are you heading? I will escort you."
"No need, thank you."
Vivian hurriedly declined. Perceiving that her tone was far too rigid, she added a defensive cover-up: "You are the boss, so you bound to possess plenty of tasks to occupy your time. Head over to the company first."
The gaze in Silas's eyes darkened heavily, staring deeply into her face, ultimately failing to say anything further.
the exact millisecond his front foot departed, Vivian gathered her luggage and her back foot marched straight out the door.
All the way following the agreement to arrive at the agency firm, to her surprise, before she could even spot Sister Xu, she encountered another highly familiar individual.
"Vivian Hale, it's you!"
The arriving individual happened to be none other than Julian, that female colleague who had been dismissed by the company previously due to manufacturing rumors.
An exceptionally excellent job of that caliber had been thoroughly ruined all because of Vivian.
She inherently hated Vivian to the absolute bone, yet to her shock, not long ago, her husband had conversely been driven to dismissal because of her as well.
At that exact millisecond, she wished she could murder this tramp.

However, no matter how intensely she harbored hatred in her heart, a job still had to be sought after all, otherwise she could only sit and consume her resources until they vanished.
Yet due to the absolute fact of being dismissed by W.E., wanting to locate an excellent job was far too difficult. This time she had dragged a massive layer of interpersonal connections just to locate an executive of the agency firm to assist in introducing a job.
The result conversely yielded an encounter with Vivian Hale.
She was just worrying over lacking an opportunity to enact her revenge, immediately stepping forward to utter a barrage of eccentric remarks.
"What? A director possessing an identity and status of this caliber like Director Hale still needs to step out to rent a property? I've heard that you share an excellent relationship with the boss, and the boss even stuck his neck out for your benefit—how come he failed to purchase a house for you?"
Her tone was completely filled with unmitigated malice, turning her head to look toward the executive, Leo, right after, "Mr. Leo, this specific person happens to be that exact director who caused me to lose my job previously. Having entered the company for a single day, she went to lodge a complaint with the upper management solely because she found me unpleasing to her eyes, causing me to be dismissed. Are you certain you desire to introduce a property to a person of this caliber?"
Hearing this, Leo knit his brows, looking upon the Vivian before his face. She transparently appeared to be a decent girl, yet he hadn't anticipated she was a person of this caliber.
Vivian was virtually driven to a laugh from absolute fury upon hearing this, "Julian, don't you find your own words filled to the brim with loopholes when you utter them? Exactly how massive of a conglomerate is W.E.? If it dismissed an employee without a single shred of justification, that would be an absolute violation of the labor contract, and you could completely apply for labor arbitration. At that time, the company would have to compensate you with an absolute payout of N+1.
Yet why on earth did you fail to apply? Is it because you don't desire it? Or are you terrified that the absolute fact of manufacturing vulgar rumors against me within the company would be completely exposed, and your arrest and detention on the spot by the police would be discovered?"
The exact millisecond these words were uttered, Julian’s face turned entirely purple from rage on the spot.
"What?" Leo was filled with a face of total shock, feeling that he had been played for a fool, "Why on earth did you fail to mention this matter to my face? Yet you still want me to assist in introducing a job for your benefit—isn't this an absolute trap to harm me?"

"I... I was framed!" Julian frantically argued back.
Vivian, however, let out a cold sneer: "Is that so? Then how about I pull out the company's surveillance records? Permitting people to witness your hideous true face with their own eyes?"
"You—"
Julian’s twin eyes turned crimson from rage, "Vivian Hale, exactly what sort of hatred or grievance exists between me and your person that you must continuously trap and harm me like this!"
This truly was a magnificent instance of turning around to bite back.
"It is because you yourself failed to learn an absolute lesson. Failing to execute proper tasks from morning till night, only knowing how to stir up trouble behind a person's back, and still failing to understand how to reflect on your actions. Clamoring right before my face—who on earth granted you the courage?"
Vivian refrained from granting her a single extra glance, turning her line of vision over to Leo instead, "This gentleman, excuse me, am I still permitted to inspect the properties right now?"
"Naturally you can. I must conversely offer you a word of thanks for exploding a hidden mine for my benefit, otherwise if I introduced her into a friend's company and a chaotic mess erupted, the thing that would be ruined at that time would be my own reputation—it would simply mean far more loss than gain."
Leo felt exceptionally fortunate the more he pondered it. He接著 delivered a harsh glare at Julian, driving her away: "Hurry up and roll your ass out of here right now. I will return every single cent of the money without missing a fraction, do not dream of trying to climb onto an interpersonal connection with me again."
Julian was driven to a point of absolute death from rage, yet in the end she could only depart in a thoroughly wretched manner.
She stood on the outside, watching Vivian keep pace behind an agent right after to head out to inspect the properties.
The look in her eyes was brooding to the extreme, surreptitiously tailing her form all along the journey, witnessing with her own eyes Vivian marching inside a certain apartment building. A flash of venomous resentment rippled through the recesses of her eyes.
In the very next second, she fished her phone out from her bag and dialed a call straight out.
"Ian, I spotted Vivian Hale. I know exactly where she is currently renting a property. Execute a task for my benefit right now..."
She heavily lowered her voice, detailing the entire suite of matters in an itemized statement.
Hearing this, however, Ian suffered a violent shudder across his entire body, his voice becoming somewhat tense: "Honey, is executing this truly ideal? In the event that she alerts the police..."
"Enough! Every shred of our jobs was completely destroyed by her hands! I went to great lengths utilizing connections to locate an agent to introduce a job for my benefit, yet it was conversely rejected all because of her presence! Having been harmed into a state of this caliber by her form, just how long do you intend to remain timid and look to protect your front and back! If you fail to handle her completely this time, I will divorce you directly!" Julian disconnected the call straight after finishing her words.
"Hello? Honey—" Hearing the droning busy tone echoing within the phone line, Ian’s heart fell into a fluster, hurriedly redialing back.
However, the opposite side failed to connect from beginning to end.
Right at this moment, a WeChat message arrived from Julian, an address and room number attached on top.
Lacking any further redundant words.
Ian clenched his phone in a deathly tight grip, staring at that string of an address as he agonized for a remarkably long while, the look in his eyes gradually turning sinister and ruthless.
He ultimately decided to execute this plan nonetheless.
...
On Vivian’s end, she remained entirely unaware of the absolute fact that she had been targeted.
Having inspected a good number of houses, she finally finalized one of the suites after a small half-day passed.
Smoothly signing the contract and escorting the agent away, she began to sweep and clean up the apartment, pulling her luggage out one by one.
Right midway through organizing her things, the doorbell was suddenly rung.
"Miss Hale, your delivery has arrived." A man's voice rang out from outside the door.
Vivian had indeed placed a delivery order moments ago, intending to consume it at noon before continuing with her tasks, therefore she harbored zero doubt, stepping over to throw open the apartment door.
To her shock, right at this absolute split second, Ian from outside the door broke into the property with the speed of a sudden flash of lightning.
Before she could even find a fraction of time to react, the massive door was slammed shut with a loud bang.
