"Rejected by the Alpha" Chapter 15
Blake’s POV~
Jolene burst through the office door.. “I can’t reach my dad, Blake.. Remember four days ago? When he called and I said I would call him back.. instead of answering? I have called! And called! Like thirty times.. and have left so many voicemails now It’s full! And I can’t leave anymore. I have sent over 200 texts. I’m worried.. this is longer than we have ever gone without talking! We talk every other day..max! He would never not respond!”
I pulled her into my lap “Breathe baby! Breathe with me.. In…out…in…out… Good! Let’s call Liam and I will have him locate your dad’s phone.. we will figure this out!” I dialed Liam and he picked up immediately.. I told him the situation and gave him Gus’s number.. he dialed it and said it’s still turned on so he would ping it and locate it.. GPS will pop and we can proceed from there!
He was back within minutes and gave us the location of the phone and Jolene jumped up.. “That’s his house! Something is wrong! I can feel it! Tyler is as bad as Jacob and I know they won’t tell me anything! What do we do? I have to go.. they have done something to him”
I try and soothe her “Babe.. we don’t know that! It could be anything.. and then we rush over there.. finding something like he misplaced his phone.. why don’t we give it a couple days.. then we will try again “ And apparently… that’s how the fight started!
“Blake! I love you! But! I know my daddy! We made a promise to each other! He would not go this long without contacting me! I will be on my way to Missouri in an hour! You can wait here.. or you can come. Either way.. I am gone!” And Damien speaks into the phone “she’s right Blake.. even Lynette is feeling it.. meet us at your airfield in a half hour. We are going with you. Stay incommunicado!”
Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Now. I have to run damage control.. because I didn’t take it seriously enough! Stupid Stupid man! We threw a couple of changes of clothes in an overnight and headed to the field. I had tried talking to her.. but she is just quiet..
We board the plane and I sit.. pulling her into my lap.. whispering “I am sorry, baby! You are right! And I should never have questioned your gut feeling! I will never do it again! I promise!” All she does is nod.. then Lynette pulled her to the back of the plane.
Damien looks at me and chuckles “Yeah, dude! I feel ya! Lyn’s pregnant again.. with triplets. And I ‘suggested’ she stay in the vehicle… safe.. out of the way.. and so. She’s not speaking to me, either!”
I try and smile “We have only been mated and marked two days and I made her feel like her feelings didn’t matter, Damien. Like her dad didn’t need her! What will I do if he is severely injured? If he isn’t alive?” Damien squeezed my shoulder.. “Talk to her brother! Tell her what’s on your mind.. never let guilt fester! Lynette.. we need to talk now! I am willing to compromise but I don’t want you in the thick of any fighting. Just freeze the fuckers until I can break their necks and shit!”

I pull Jolene into my lap.. “Please, baby. I’m sorry. I didn’t understand the relationship you have with your dad.. but I didn’t intentionally negate your fear. We will find him! And I promise you this! If he is harmed, in any way.. I will burn that pack to the ground!” She snuggles into me.. burying her face in my neck.. and I feel it! The wetness of her tears. My fearless Angel! Is so afraid she is crying and she never cries! “I’m not mad at you Blake. I am upset. I am worried. I am afraid. I know I am going to kill someone if Daddy is not okay!”
The pilot came on air telling us we are landing in ten minutes. She stood up.. changing into black cargo pants and a long sleeved black turtleneck. Buckled a harness over her chest and a utility belt around her hips. She laced up combat boots.. then we all watch her sheath two katana on her back.. shoved eight various length knives and throwing knives into sheaths on her belt.. two daggers in each boot.. and I am sitting here hard enough to pound nails! Even Damien said “Damn Bro! That’s Hot!” And Lyn said “Fuck yeah! I’d do her!” We all laughed and we needed it!
We loaded up in five SUVs and Damien asked Jo how far we had to go. She told him he would see the gates in less than fifteen minutes. He looks over at Liam and says “Let’s go brother! Balls to the wall! Stop for no one until we reach the pack house. Blake.. you take five men and get to Gus’s house. If he isn’t there.. we hold Jacob and Tyler while I have myself a little conversation with old man Taylor!
I lace my fingers with Jolene’s and I notice the closer we get to River Run.. the more emotion is rolling off her.. the most predominant being anger. My angel was pissed and I have a feeling it isn’t going to be pretty. Lynette reached over taking her other hand and squeezing “I got you, girl.. Let’s kick some ass and leave their fucking names on the ground!” Jolene took a deep breath and mumbled Goddess be with me! I don’t want to kill my brother but I promise to cut his balls off and play pingpong with the fuckers! I clenched my thighs and said “Out loud thoughts, my love” she shrugged saying sorry but Damien laughed and said “Oh don’t be! That shit was hilarious!”
Liam said “Ramming gates in T- minus 5… and began the countdown.. 5….4….3….2….1 and we slammed through double iron gates like butter watching guards diving for cover.. Rolling the remaining two miles, we know the element of surprise is blown and expect to see the Alphas waiting for us.
What we didn’t expect was to take fire! Wolves opened fire on our convoy and Damien lost his shit! Odin was fighting to get out.. but Demon had exploded in anger. Yanking the P.A. mic he said
“MOTHERFUCKERS! STAND DOWN NOW! THIS IS ALPHA KING DAMIEN STERLING AND ONE MORE ROUND FIRED EQUALS ENTIRE PACK ANNIHILATION!
and just like that… they stopped that shit. He looked behind him.. Checking on Lyn “Fuckers are so lucky they weren’t firing armor piercing! I would have fucked this place up! No! I’m still going to fuck this place up now!”
