"Rejected by the Alpha" Chapter 19
Jolene’s POV ~
It’s been nearly 48 hours, and Blake is not awake yet. I’m not really worried.. his vitals are all good. But he has grown even more.. I was showering after breakfast and when I walked back in our room to dress.. I noticed his feet hanging off the end of the bed. I will have to order a new bed for him.. but damn! I almost want to sneak a peek under the covers.. just to see if he’s grown..everywhere.. if you catch my drift! Giggling, I left to check on my dad.
Walking into the clinic, I get to my dad’s room..and am surprised to see him relaxed and smiling. Even more surprising is Alice! Sat beside him… holding his hand, whispering and giggling. I clear my throat and she springs back.. looking like the cat who ate the canary. I laugh and ask “Something y’all wanna tell me?” And my dad says “Joey!!! I am so happy to be able to fully see you!” And I laugh again “Uh huh! Stop deflecting. What’s happening here?” Pointing my finger back and forth between the two of them. He smiles and says “Alice is my second chance! We are mates!” I squeal and jump to hug her… I whisper “I told you.. you felt like a mom to me! Now I know why!” Then I hug my dad and tell him I couldn’t be happier! “I want you up and walking a little bit today. You can shower, but I don’t want you in long… no soaking in the tub, either! I will be back in a while to check in! Alice.. make sure he takes it easy!”
Checking in with the kitchen for tonight’s dinner.. I run upstairs to check on Blake.. and he’s walking out of the bathroom with a towel almost wrapped around his waist.. and I crack up! I said “I ordered you some new clothes… but for today, you’re going to be stuck in sweats. I also ordered us new bath linens, as well as a new bed! But, may I say…. Hot Damn, baby!” He laughed and grabbed me. Lifting me, I wrap my legs around his waist and he’s kissing me… rubbing his cock against my core.. we ended up making love for a couple hours. And yes! He grew…. Everywhere!!! Took me a minute to adjust!
Blake has called a pack meeting, so here we stand.. on the dais, waiting for the crowd to calm. He begins to speak “I am sure you have all noticed spikes of power through the pack lands recently. The first happened when I became one with Our Luna!! A white wolf healer.. blessed by the Goddess herself! The other.. when I committed myself and our pack to being the Royal Adjutant Pack to King Damien and Queen Lynette! We are the king’s representing pack, outside the kingdom. We have been gifted strength, speed and longer lives… we are immune to silver.. wolfsbane..strychnine…so there are definite bonuses. As you can see.. I am much larger. Dalton will be, as well. Now… I will be holding tournaments for the Gamma position … Delta and Head Warrior, as well! The tournaments will be in four days.. the night of the full moon. We will have the Luna ceremony that night..as well! Everyone is dismissed!”

Blake and I picked up Matthew and went to the infirmary to see Gus. He has been asking about him since he woke up. The smile on Gus’s face was magical as he lifted Matthew. The baby ran his hands over Gus’s face and his bruises melted away. I gasped and watched as my father’s back healed over.. leaving little scarring. Matthew kissed his grandfather on the cheek and look said “PopPop better!” Gus cried and I whispered “He’s never done that before.. Our son is a powerful healer, Blake! He will need a lot of protection. We can’t let word of this get out. Jacob will absolutely come for him!” Blake walked over and wrapped all three of us in his arms “We are family, baby! And no one fucks with our family!”
Matthew squeals.. done with being held.. he yanked on his PopPop’s hand and reaching for mine.. we stood with him between us. Each of us holding a hand and he decided to lift his feet and swing himself up into a somersault.. laughing and shouting “again! Again!!” So, for ten minutes..we swung him high in the air.. letting him somersault in our hands and he was ecstatic. My family! Thank you, Mother Moon!
I decided that Gus would be fine leaving the infirmary now. Matthew is a healer.. already on par with his mother. And we can’t let anyone know. I am in Blake’s office.. waiting on Damien to call us back. We’re going to need his advice on this one. Dalton is sitting with us.. and he keeps asking what’s happening. Finally, Damien got back to us and Blake tells him what happened with Gus in the infirmary. There’s silence for a few minutes.. then he says “
You do not let this leave your immediate inner circle! Trust no one! Not because I believe you will be betrayed..but because I believe a secret of this magnitude has to have limited exposure. The fewer people who know.. the better for the baby. Issue Alpha Command in regard to both Jolene and Matthew. The pack is not allowed to discuss their Luna.. or your son! Not even amongst themselves…because, in my experience.. You never know who’s listening! I recommend increasing security..video surveillance… floodlights and sirens strategically placed around your borders.. and around your town. Lynette and I will come down in about a week.. and she and her mother will bring spelled runes to ward the perimeter of the pack.. including town. No one can cross the wards without permission. If he is this strong at healing now.. and he’s barely two… this young man is going to be a prize many people will covet! Let’s get him as protection as we can!”
I told him how very much I appreciated his input…and his help! Then, I asked if he had any books about the white wolf healers. He promised to get Liam on it.. and we hung up.
I walked in with my dad and Alice.. Matthew in tow. He ran right up and climbed in Blake’s lap saying “Daddy..hurted toe..Sayed fuckerfuck and mommy sayed not sayed it!” Trying desperately not to laugh I tell him those are big boy words and he has to wait until he’s big like Uncle Dalton and Daddy to say them…he nods sagely and says “nexsted year then!” And that time, I did laugh!
Alice speaks up “Alpha.. I would like to be accepted back into the pack. Gus and I talked about it and we want to be close to you kids and our grandson.” Blake grinned and told her to hand him her hand palm up. We did the swearing in and we all felt her bond snap back into place..and it felt warm… like family, this time! I smiled and said “Welcome Home, MaMa Alice!” And Matthew ran to her repeating MaMa Alice….over and over!
