"Rejected by the Alpha" Chapter 24
Blake’s POV ~
I jerk awake..and look around in a panic. My clothes are in tatters around me.. and my hands look huge.. Fucking Huge. I jump up and realize I’m further from the floor..I look at Damien…who is rolling in laughter “Yep.. I kind of reacted the same way, bro! Welcome to the mile high club! You’re a big boy! Probably go about 7’2.. Chest looks to be about 60.. maybe 65 around. Jolene gonna climb that mountain, dude!” The whole fucking room is in hysterics and I’m wondering where in the fuck I’m going to find clothes! And only one question pops into my mind “The Moon Goddess was here? And my pup is her grandson?” They all nod and I say “I’m fucked!”
Jolene is still sleeping.. apparently, the Goddess put her to sleep..probably to ease her worry. Damien says “Lynette has gone home.. the triplets are due any minute now. So.. I am heading back with Liam. He will stay in constant contact with Toby. We will take this fucker’s army down! That pup is my nephew! I will burn this world to the ground for him! Make no mistake!” We bro hugged and he and Liam left.
Dalton walked back in and threw me a pair of basketball shorts “Bro! Cover the package! Making us all feel like PeeWee’s over here!” We laughed and I said “Wasn’t expecting all that! Who knew?”
Alice knocks and I tell her to come in. She walks in, with Gus carrying Matthew..who scrambles down and runs to me. Frost knows Odin is his sire and has bonded completely. Gus looks me in the eye and asks “Am I going to have to kill my son? Just answer me straight, son… I probably should have done it ages ago.. but.. Well.. he’s my son!” I shook my head.. “ Gus, we have come across some information..we now know Jacob has been turned bad.. enthralled by an evil sorceress. And, I believe Tyler has been..as well” and Matthew says “Mommy can fix. Her can hug him and dark eyes will leave. Not Jacko though. He is all bad man”. Great! How do we get Tyler here?
I ask the team “Any idea how we can get Tyler away from that pack?” Dalton shakes his head.. “I doubt it. Especially if Morgana LeFay is watching.” Matthew slips off my lap and climbs up with Jolene and kisses her face over and over..saying “Pwetty Mommy.” And every single one of us smile.
I tell my team.. “Okay! We work one thing at a time! We don’t want to get overwhelmed. Marshal? How are you and Anthony doing with our warriors? Are they shaping up?” He nods and says “They are all decent in hand to hand.. in their wolf form.. they are unstoppable. Some are branching out.. working weaponry. And.. here’s the kicker.. the she-wolves are all wanting to train.. mostly weapons. So Angie is starting them on rifles and archery. Toby has thirty warriors he is running ragged.. their training schedule is insane.. They are elite guards for sure. He trains them in every discipline and all weapons. But it’s paying off. All the warriors seem to be getting larger and stronger since we’ve started.. muscle mass alone is off the charts. That may be the Goddess’s doing.. but whatever the reason.. it’s been awesome!”

Dalton pipes up “Marty and I have been working the security angle.. cameras have been placed every fifteen feet around our borders. Damien pulled our people back from Smokey Moon.. He asvised they move onto our territory until the issue is resolved. I have an email drafted and ready to send, if you agree to Damien’s suggestion. That’s not to say Thomas will of course!”
Matthew smacks his mom’s face over and over “Wake Mommy.. wake up! Mommy.. Unca Mike need me.. hurry Mommy!” And Jolene sits up immediately. She rubs her eyes, then looks at me. She laughs “Holy fucking Sequoia!” And we laugh..but Matthew keeps tugging on her “Mommy.. Unca Mike. He sad. He need me now!” And she jumps up and looks at me.. I just get up and we run out the door.
Within a half hour, she is pounding on Mike’s door.. when he opens it, he just grabs her and starts bawling. She soothes his heart.. and holds him… but Matthew storms in and climbs up on Janie’s bed and curls his little body around her head.. he keeps saying “You be better. You feel better now.. “as his little body begins to glow with a pale blue light.. almost like the one that surrounded the Goddess. He kept combing her hair from her face.. rubbing his little hand on her forehead..all the while, glowing. His glow began to dim and he was saying “wake up now. You all better. You wake up” and her eyes open. She lies there for several moments, then asks “Michael?” His head jerks from Jolene’s shoulder and he stared at his mate “What? How? What happened? She was dying.. she was lost to me. How? Joey? You did this? How? We tried! You said she was too sick.. How?” And I said “Mike? You can tell no one how! Ever! Matthew healed her..and he would be in great danger!” He grabbed Matthew “I love you, little man! I love you so much! I pledge my life to you! You have given me back my heart!” And Matthew pats his head asking “You all better now, Unca Mike. All better now..k?”
We chuckle and Jolene is helping Janie sit up a little higher.. so she could see everyone. She held her hands out for Mattie and he crawled right into her. She whispered “You are so big! Where’s my little monkeybutt? Did he run away?” And Matthew giggles while she just keeps kissing him..and holding Mike’s hand.
We headed back to the pack and Jolene asked Matthew how he knew Mike needed him and as matter of factly as I have ever heard ge replied “Frost told me. He say hims heart heard Mike sad” I look at Jo and said “The Goddess said he will know things. I’m guessing Frost is clairvoyant
