"Rejected by the Alpha" Chapter 25
I walk into the office after I had been in town shopping for almost four hours! Matthew had shot up two inches in the night..and Blake had grown damned near a foot! They both needed clothes and shoes! Blake better be done now! I had to do the same thing after he pledged to Damien!
I smile at my handsome men.. taking Matthew, I say to Blake “You have a new wardrobe…again..so go get dressed.. you freaking mountain!” And he laughed..kissing me.. he ran to put clothes on. I shouted “Shoes are on the rack!” Dalton started laughing and says “I’ll take the wardrobe you bought him last month! Saves me shopping” and I say Deal!
Alice comes in and says “Time for Matthew to get ready for daycare.. He’s been missed the last couple days..and Amelia keeps asking for him. I grin.. and Matthew starts bouncing. Amelia is his best friend and he loves seeing her. Angie comes in and flops beside me on the sofa. She looks aggravated so I ask.. against my better judgement “Something wrong?” She huffs and then snorts “If I can kill Marty.. then no.. nothing is wrong. If I have to let him live.. everything is wrong!” And I nod sagely.. “Uh huh.. I see. And what has Marty done to warrant his death today?” She jumps up and starts pacing “He’s impossible! My ladies are doing just fine.. but nooo.. he comes in.. looking all cute and shit.. then they all act like their brains go to dog shit and I’ve just stepped in it.. mushing it all between my toes.. making it stink worse than it was when it was just stuck in their heads! They forget how to talk.. or throw a knife.. all they do is titter and giggle. It’s sickening and they can’t get back on task because they all want Marty to show them how to do it! And are you sure I can’t kill him?” I laugh and tell her “Not today, honey” She storms out of the office, just as Blake comes in.
Dalton is cracking up..asks “What the fuck just happened?” I laugh replying “That.. was my Gamma having a crush on our Delta and pitching a jealous fit” and Dalton laughed harder “Dog shit brains mushed between her toes? Oh my fucking Goddess!” And that one had me laughing. Blake says “I don’t even want to know” making us laugh harder and Dalton chokes out “No..bro.. trust me.. you don’t!”
Blake sits down and asks “Where are we on that email to Thomas, Dalton? I didn’t get the chance to okay it yesterday..and I believe it would be a better idea to have them within the confines of our territory, temporarily. Jolene, my love, do you have to go to the restaurant tonight?” And I say yep. He nods.. then he asks where the rest of the team are.. Dalton replies on the training field. Blake links them to meet him in the conference room.

I stand and kiss him.. saying I was going to shower and I hear him say “Fuccckkkk! Now my brain won’t function for hours!” I giggle and wiggle my eyebrows asking “Wanna wash my back?” And he chases me to our room. Our shower took nearly two hours but oh what fun it was! We walked into the conference room and I busted out laughing.. “Have y’all been sitting in here all this time?” Then Blake cracks up.. he smugly says “Oops” and still they did not look amused.. Blake looks at them and says “Get the fuck over it! I will always…every time.. take a shower with my mate over time with you lot! You didn’t have to sit here..you knew I would not be upset that you found something else to occupy yourselves with.. So stop the martyrdom.. no one is getting burned at the stake today.” And I busted out laughing again! “Way to win them over, baby! Weren’t much of a cheerleader in high school, were you?” And then, everyone laughed.
I told them I was heading out and would see them tonight. Angie jumped to follow me and I asked “Don’t you need to help Blake?” And she shook her head “Fuck no! I’m not sitting in this room full of raging testosterone hoping one of them would even Think to listen to the little woman! After all, everyone knows we’re just supposed to sit pretty and be silent.. right, Marty?”
I spun my head to look at Marty.. then I looked at Blake.. and he knew I was not happy! Dalton starts laughing “I told you that remark was gonna come back and bite you in the ass!” And Marty snarled “She deliberately threw me under the bus when she said my name and you all know it!” Then Angie said… “If I wanted you under a bus.. I would run you over with one! Then back over you and run over you again!” Blake yelled “Enough! What the fuck is going on!?”
I kissed his cheek and said “We little women are going to a very male oriented business and run the shit out of it.. Like a fucking Boss! I suggest you iron out this little wrinkle! I love you!” He sighed.. pinched the bridge of his nose and nodded.. “I love you, I’ll take care of it!”
Driving to the restaurant.. Angie says lowly “I’m sorry, Luna. He has been undermining me at nearly every turn. He constantly tries to take over my train sessions.. He changes the schedule I set them on. They are not taking me seriously and it’s frustrating!” I reached over and patted her hand… “Do not apologize, sweet girl! I think I will attend a few training sessions.. starting in the morning. It’s time a little woman teaches a big bad delta some humility!” She laughs.. “Swear to Goddess, I would pay to see that!”

Mike and Janie are both working tonight. And the smiles on their faces are amazing to see. We are slammed so I alternated between the front and back. Helping the servers out of the weeds, twice. It’s easy for tables to get away from you! All it takes is one complaining customer..and wham! you can fall behind. So, I’m running interference..and Angie is actually tending bar.. looking like she’s having fun for a change. I walked over.. asking if she wanted to take a break!
I heard a voice snarl “Well.. I shouldn’t be surprised you turned out to be a bar slut! Get tired of spreading your legs for all the packrats, sister?!” And I turned to look at Angie and she was shaking.. white as a sheet. I stepped closer and put my arm around her.. sending waves of calm to her. I said “Ahh! The abusive stepbrother, I presume. What’s the matter? Felt the need to try to intimidate Angela.. to what!? Relive your glory days? Beating, berating and belittling your mate not enough to get your dick hard anymore?” He yells “Bitch! You don’t know me! I am here to have dinner with my Alpha! Smart mouth me again and I will show you what I can do!” And I bounced his face off the bar! I growled “The next fucking time you address me you use my title! I am LUNA Jolene Landon! And now.. I believe you should have a conversation with Thomas about your behavior!” And I walked him over to Thomas’ table.. he stood and said “Jo! What a pleasant surprise! I smiled at him and kissed Edith’s cheek.. then I told him what happened. I smiled and said “Don’t ever let it happen again, Thomas. The next time he comes at MY gamma.. I will put him down, like the dog he is!”
I went back to Angie, and said “ Come on, Honey! We’re going home!”
