"The Dragon’s Forsaken Mate" Chapter 48
Amora
"Come, come, this will be fairly quick." The Fae Kingdom's head witch, Davina, was guiding us through the forest with an entire entourage in toe. King Orion stood in front while Willa gripped my hand tightly, keeping me from falling. I couldn't believe that I had black magic on me, but then again, this was Adam. He had lied to me for so many years and who knows how long this had been going on. What was the black magic doing to me? My feet stumbled. Nicholas, not far behind, grabbed me by the shoulders, only nodding, keeping me steady. He had been quiet the entire afternoon and the walk leading up to the magic to be cast out. "Just a little further." The fae guard were wearing their silver armor. The clanking of the metal gave shivers down to my bones as the night continue to grow darker and the trees overhead blocked the stars.
"It's going to be alright," Willa cooed at me. "Then we can find out why he was using it." There was a smirk in her voice. I could not see to be sure because the shadows across her face hid her intentions. I continued to shiver, not from the cold but the darkness and loneliness I felt.
The bond was pulling me to him, to my supposed mate that mentally tortured me all those years. My anger grew for Adam with each passing moment, thinking of all the intimate times we spent together out of his own selfishness. Dirty, I felt so dirty. I did things I wanted to do with my true mate, and Adam took it all. I sniffed, pulling the cloak that Nicholas had given me.
His smell reminded me of summer and the heated pools in the northern mountains. The water there flowed peacefully and the fish that survived the harsh outside temperatures swam like tropical fish that lived near Atlantis. "Were here," Orion spoke, his back ridged as he looked at the platform. Three witches, dress in a ceremonial garb of black and golden swirls, placed various powders on the planks of wood.
"Who is first?" Davina from the castle stepped above the platform, her candle lighting up the swirling pattern, making sure it looked correct.
"I will," Nichols stepped up, his torso still bare and his black hair hung loosely around his back.
"Lay here," a sweet voice motioned where to lay his head and feet. "I'm Gloria," she whispered. "These are my sisters. We helped the Black Dragon with his magical barrier. Since we know what we are dealing with, it will be less painful to remove the black magic." Her sisters all nodded, holding their candles.
"Everyone, please step back." The Davina waved her hand, making us step several feet away from the platform. Chants of Latin and Greek filled the air. The still trees now moaning and swaying with their chants. Dead leaves circled the platform, causing a minor storm to rise above Nicholas' chest. Lightning struck his heart. His wail of pain had my dragon roaring inside me. Trying to step closer, Willa and Orion pulled me back.

"They are going to kill him!" I screamed. "Let him go!" My face let the unshed tears of the day flow, my hand still reaching for the friend that had comforted me most of my time with Adam. His roars of his dragon ceased. He laid still on the platform with his head lulled to the side.
"Wow, that was difficult," Gemma, one witch that had introduced herself to Nicholas, spoke. A small orb dropped from Nicholas' chest and they snapped it up, putting it into a black back. "It's the same as the other," Gloria whispered. "What is?" Orion's witch came to the three sisters. "Dragon blood, it has been used to enhance the black magic. That is why it is so strong to pull from supernaturals. All four of us won't have enough power to pull it from her," they pointed to me. I pulled at my dress where my heart laid.
"It's still going to be inside me, then? For how long? I don't want to be attached to that monster anymore!" Willa hushed me. I buried my head in her neck. The cloak surrounding me was tightened, King Orion holding me from behind. "The bond is keeping you to him. The black magic is tainting you somewhere else."
"Then get the bond of me!" I hissed. "Get it off. My body wants to run back to him. I don't know how much longer I can stand it!" The witches looked at each other, all with solum eyes.
"We do not practice soul magic. It is a forbidden art. We could travel to the south, see if we could find a willing witch, but it is dangerous right now. An uprising is coming," Gemma whispered to another. The other sisters shook their head. "No, if we are caught down there, anyone would suspect us as evil." Gracie grabbed her sister's hand. "We can return in a few days' time to remove your black magic. The chosen bond you have, there are ways to break it without magic." "What is it?" I ran up to the platform, sitting on my knees. "What do I have to do? I'll do anything." I never result in begging, but this had to be done. Adam could use the bond we share to find me and, in turn, find Creed and Odessa. I couldn't let that happen. It would be easier to find me than Creed. They only share half their blood.
"You either kill Adam," the witch spoke harshly. "Or your true mate marks you." My head leaned on the platform, banging my fist against it. It would be next to impossible to do any of those things.
Nicholas groaned, his head shaking from side to side. "It is best we get him back," Orion spoke. "Once he wakes, we can figure out what spell was cast on him." Several soldiers climbed onto the platform, pulling Nichola's arms around their shoulders. He groaned, his head finally lifting.

"Are you alright, Nicholas?" My hand went to touch his face, only to feel small tingles on his cheek. Pulling away, Nichola's swift hand let go of the solider and grabbed mine. His eyes still not open, he lifted his head, taking a large breath through his nostrils. Letting out a long heavy breath, his eyes went black. Not the beautiful green usually shows.
"Mate," he growled.
Willa screams in the background. "I called it! Did you see that? I called that! I did it all on my own aren't you so proud!?" Orion was chuckling but my body stood frozen looking at the friend that had taken care of me the day Creed left the tribe.
"Mate," he said again, pulling away from the soldier and his forehead met mine. My dragon purred, scratching inside my chest to feel the warmth of his dragon. He was lulling me into a calm state, the shock now falling away from my body. "The black magic, laced with dragon's blood, was a bond blocking spell," Gemma gasped.
"This is the second time that asshole has done it!" Gracie squealed.
"What?" my head popped around Nicholas' shoulder, only for him to pull me back, rubbing his nose along mine and finally smelling my neck.
"He did it to Creed," Genesis, the quiet one, spoke. "Once it was broken, he ran to Odessa and marked her that night. We had an idea there was a bond there, but once the magic was removed, it only confirmed our suspicions."
Nicholas has been my true, fated mate for all these years, right under my nose. He's watched me go into Adam's tent. How many times? He could have heard us do all sorts of things. Telling each other that we loved each other and....' My face paled in embarrassment, trying to step away, but Nicholas only pulled me back to his chest. "No, I whispered," covering my face. His enormous hands rubbed my back, my face planted in his chest. Soldiers, witches, Orion and Willa faded away as Nicholas held me in his arms.
How could he love someone so used? I'd been used so many times and how could he love me after all the things that were done to my body? I was marked for gods sake! Right there, I cried. He wouldn't let me go. Nicholas would never let me go when I cried in my tent alone after every miscarriage.
He stayed by my side. He even help clean the tent so Adam would have been none the wiser while he was gone. My knees felt weak, the emotion wracking my body because my body still felt connected to Adam and here was my fated mate helping me stand.
"I don't care, Amora." His voice tickled the shell of my ear. "I don't care you were mated to someone else. I don't care if you thought he was your mate. Adam is a sick dragon. He took your innocence from you, tricked you. You have no one to blame but him."

"I'm so dirty." I rubbed my arms. "I'll never be able to wash away his filth."
"Then let me cleanse you." Nicholas' words had my dragon purring. "Your dragon recognizes me. Let me help your body find mine." Nicholas' thumb trailed my jaw while the rest of his hand pulled my neck. My dragon's eyes reverberated the yellow, showing her willingness to be marked, this time, by our true mate and not of lie.
"Will you have me, Amora? Will you have me as your mate?" Tears rained down, my eyes reddening. "I will treat you better. I will mend your broken heart. I will take care of you in your emotional pain and your physical. I give my life to you, Amora. It will be a hard road for you to find your self-worth again, but I will be there guiding you along the way because you are perfect to me. You are my perfection, my soul's desire."
My throat bobbed. I couldn't speak, but only nod. Nicholas, even with the bond and magic blocking us from being together, I felt his emotion. "Let me make you feel whole again."
Nicholas' dipped his head, warm lips massaging mine. Fire erupted across my lips and down to my lower belly. The sensation was powerful, my legs instantly wrapping around Nicholas as he carried me to a soft bed of moss. Laying me down, his tongue slipped into my mouth, hand massaging my cheek.
His chest muscles hovering over my body, my fingers entangled in the mass of his black hair. Groaning, he tightened his hold around my waist. "If you want, I can stop." I shook my head. For once it felt right. No second thoughts, no heaviness in my heart as he pulled down his leathers.
Pulling my dress above my head, Nicholas groaned and ripped too quickly. Causing a sweet giggle to leave my mouth. "That's what I want to hear, your pure laughter. It always made my dragon excited." I smiled faintly.
"It will happen more often with you." My finger pushed a hair tendril behind his ear. His lips found mine again until he traced his lips down to my chest. Kissing each part of my body gently, savoring each moment.
"You are so beautiful, Amora," he whispered. "And you are mine. No one will ever take me from you." Chest shaking, his eyes bore into mine. "Mine, Amora. We are for each other." My pussy dampened considerably. His nose flaring, he grunted, pushing his cock closer to my entrance tickling it with his head.
Nicholas tries to dip his head lower. He growls when I pull up to meet him. "I need you to mark me," I whispered. I want to enjoy you and not have the bond ruin me." I pleaded. As much as I wanted him to take his time, explore each other, but I needed the bond gone. Adam could come find me at any moment and my body would betray me, not letting me enjoy the fire-touches Nicholas can feel.
Nicholas, understanding, kissed my neck. His fingers prodded my opening, sticking his thick finger inside. "Fuck, Amora," he groaned to himself. "So damn wet for me already?" I giggled while he licked his fingers. How many times did I imagine Nicholas over my body instead of Adam, maybe too much.
"I want you to get pleasure from this," he whispered. "I feel like I have not done my job yet," I smiled faintly.
"I've seen your cock before. I think you will get me off just fine with that. Now hurry and make love to me so we can finally be together." Nicholas smirked, his hand grabbing my breast.
"Mine," he groaned, slipping inside. He was considerably bigger. He stretched me wide as I moaned his name. It felt so good to have his name on my tongue and soon other things. Nicholas stopped, panting. "Are you alright?" his nose dipped to my shoulder, kissing the spot where he would mark me.
"You are very large." I nipped his neck.
"Good, glad I can please my mate," a tear sat at the corner of my eyes. His hips pulled back, pushing forward again. Head falling back, I felt the thick girth of his cock empale me, my fingers scratching his back. He chanted my name over and over, his arms wrapping around my back and pulling my shoulders down on his cock.
"Gods," I cried out.
"My mate, my love, my Amora," his lips tickled my cheeks, finally landing on my lips. His thrusts became sporadic, my back arched, causing his cock to push deeper inside me. My dragon's fangs lengthen, feeling the itch to mark what was mine. She had never done this on her own and I was thankful she knew this was the right thing to do."
We both climaxed, finally biting into each other's neck. His cum coated the walls of my cavern, my dragon sighing contentedly.
Nicholas yelled my name, my body shivered, feeling much lighter than I ever had before. The stars shone brighter above me and the stems on the leaves became easier to see. My fingers grazed Nicholas' shoulders and furious fire traveled across my fingers.
The world was stronger, brighter than I could have ever imagined. I sighed, contended and felt the bond between the both of us strengthen by the second. My dragon growled and purred within my body, causing Nicholas to lift his heavy body from mine. "My mate," he kissed my cheeks. "How do you feel? Are you alright?"
I hummed, now looking at this beautiful dragon in front of me. The mate I should have had from so long ago, all those years wasted. We would make up for our lost time. "I feel wonderful, for the first time in my life. I didn't even feel the previous bond break," I sniffed.
Nicholas' smile brightened, his forehead touching mine. "I'll protect you. I'll kill that bastard for hurting you." His eyes narrowed. "I wish I could have known." Nicholas turned his head away, only for me to pull him back to face me. "Neither of us knew, but we have each other now, that's all that matters." Nicholas laid his head on my bare chest, his hand tickling the sides of my body.
"I always thought you were extremely sexy though. I might have snuck to watch you bathe a few times," I giggled shyly.
"And I always knew you were watching, so I always gave you a show. Don't think I wash my cock that much."
We both howled in laughter, entangling our legs together while we watched the blinking stars look down at us between the branches of the trees until we really explored our bodies for the rest of the night.
