"The Dragon’s Forsaken Mate" Chapter 63
Odessa
My mind was made up when the day ended on day two. I was extremely mad. Was it completely childish of me? Of course, it was, but I didn't care. I was going through the "whiny" teenager stage I never went through and wanted Creed with
me.
Everyone was out hunting vampires, witches, and whatnot while the women sat in the library listening to a famous sorceress, Bohdi, that came from Earth to help us with our dilemma. She had been called on by Princess Sadie and her parents, saying they direly needed help and that a large war was going to be upon us.
She was a bit eccentric; she talked about how she dyed her naturally back hair into bright blonde so she would not be recognized easily. The only thing giving her away would be spells she would cast on people and the imprint it leaves. If a skillful witch knew what they were doing, they could extract the marker and find out it was her.
"You're a gorgeous dragon," she sat down opposite of me. "I saw you fly off when I arrived. I am terribly sorry I didn't stay for your ceremony when you turned up. Time was of the essence and I had to make sure my bag of trinkets was in order." Taking a large sip of her tea that everyone around here liked, she smacked her lips, setting it on the table. "Now let's get started."
We spent three days, from sunrise to sunset, practicing welding my powers. At first, it was hard to expel them on my own, Bohdi, being the expert she was, could pull energy from my dragon and form it into something more powerful or enhance her own powers. I did nothing but stand in a state of bewilderment, only feeling my body ache after she expelled it.
"Now I want you to do it," she pulled me to the side. "You will need to think of something you have powerful emotions for, positive emotions, that is. Negative will only make the magicless stable, so when you are imagining the power coming from your body, you must think positive energy." Letting out a shaky breath, I held my hands the way Bohdi had shown me, which reminded me of a Kung-fu movie in how my fingers had to be held in a certain position.
Using positive emotion, which was the thought of Creed. Cheesy I know, I could protrude a ball of light in my hand. It wasn't large by any means, but it glowed, and the more I thought of Creed beside me, the brighter it went. Bohdi's eyes grew wide, now stepping away from me.
"Excellent, now I want you to think where you want it to go, using your hands around it to guide it forward." Willa and Amora stood silent, watching me walk with the ball of light. I tip-toed like it was a ticking time bomb, ready to explode. The thought of it exploding, dropping or hurting someone made my steps falter. The orb shook until it sputtered out and faded away.

"You doubted." Bohdi drank more tea. "Again."
And so the days blended together. The same thing over and over until we hit the end of day three. "You have doubt in you. That is the only thing that is holding you back, Odessa. You need to practice with your dragon, shift and use the same technique." I sighed, rubbing my forehead.
"She isn't allowed to leave the palace right now," Willa reminded her. "None of us are until the Duke is captured." With a huff, she leaned back on the couch. "Orion wouldn't appreciate a full-blown dragon in his library either."
Amora chuckled, listening to Willa. "That is true. Maybe they are getting close to the Duke's hiding spot. Juliet mentioned Annan was close. Have you heard anything, Odessa?" I shook my head, now sitting on the floor, playing with the tiny orb in my hands.
"No, I haven't heard from Creed since the night of our ceremony," I sniffed.
"You mean he got up and left? Right after dancing?" Willa's eyes contorted to anger, banging her fist on the couch. "That is supposed to be your 'special' time!" I giggled at how her wings began fluttering frantically.
"No, I understand. People, good people, are out there because of me. Trying to protect little 'ole me from getting taken." Willa shook her head.
"It isn't just about you, Odessa, this war has been coming and you are the last piece with the Duke trying to force you as a mate. Well, that and rogue vampires trying to suck dry anyone they can find. Creed should have at least come to talk to you or rest. Orion does!"
Looking at Amora, I saw her eyes looking at the floor. Nicholas must take breaks too, so I did have the right to be angry. The orb in my hand burned brightly, flying away from my hand abruptly and hitting the chandelier above me. A small crystal landed on the top of my head. "Oops," I winced, stepping away from the droppings.
The three warriors walked in to check on us, of course telling me it was time to go back to my room where my dinner was awaiting me and there I sat, stewing until Creed would finally come back to me, only for him to put the moves on me. I forgave way too quickly, but having him there was all I needed.
He was dirty, head to toe, and I found it the most erotic thing ever. Seeing a man that had worked the day and night trying to protect you, protect whatever future you both wanted to have had me melt in his embrace. Oh, and I did. I melted, creamed whatever you want to call it. My dragon continued to purr throughout the night, hardly letting me sleep because I thought it was all a dream.
The next morning, Creed's body was lifted from the bed. The sun was well past dawn. I had watched it rise into the sky but dared not move. "You are awake, my Fawn?" his lips grazed my cheek, his grip pulling me tighter. I hummed, happy to be with him again.

"When do we go home?" I wanted to be back in our cave, back in our 'nest' as he called it, and forget that a war was coming. If this was Earth, I would hide in the hills of Wyoming just to get away from it all.
"Soon." his cock was still buried inside me. When he moved, it hit a pleasurable spot, raising a soft moan from me. "Do you stay like that all night?" I asked breathlessly. Isn't there a commercial that says if it lasts over four hours you should go to the hospital? I chuckled at that. It had been maybe three.
"It's always like that when you are near." That had to be uncomfortable. His chest rumbled with desire, his hand coming to my hip to push my butt back into him.
"I'm sorry, that must be painful." He chuckled, nibbling my ear.
"Not at all. In fact, I like it." He moved his hips again, grabbing my breast. "Because I can wake up and do this." I was already wet, the sheets were drenched, who knows if it was from the night before or not, but my hips moved on their own accord as he spooned fucked me. His hands grazed my body, pushing and pulling me up and down his shaft.
His hands, luckily, clean, rubbed up against my breasts and up to my neck. A light squeeze from his enormous fingers had me whispering his name.
His teeth grazed my mark, tickling, probing, and nipping. My back arched, trying to get him as deep as possible inside me. Creed's teeth sank into my skin and heavens almighty, my nipples hardened and I let out the loudest moan while he continued to push inside me. "Mmm, my mate," he growled seductively. "You always know how to please me." I wanted to argue and said he did all the work but was cut short when gripped my nipple as he came.
Growling loudly, he thrust his cock, holding me tightly, leaving minor bruises around my waist.
"This is one way to wake up," I giggled, rubbing my bum into his crotch. He groaned, holding me still.
"Keep doing that and we will do it all day." I smiled. Internally, I was screaming, "heck yeah, have another rut."
...
Once showered, we both dressed and walked out of our quarters. Warriors were still stationed outside the door. My face flushed, thinking of the noises that came from my mouth. "You are both requested to meet King Orion in the throne room." Creed ushered me away, chuckling. I grabbed his hand and interlaced it with mine as we walked down the brightly decorated halls of the palace.
Orion was sitting on a massive throne. Another sat by his side that should hold Willa, but she was sitting on his lap, playing with his hair. Her eyes lit up once I entered the room. Trying to jump down to greet me, Orion wrapped his arm around her waist, slapping her thigh.

Willa giggled, kissing his cheek.
"Duke Mortus has been taken down to the prison," Orion boomed. The warriors that stood on the sides of the walls and around the columns of the room cheered. A sizeable crowd had gathered, species I wasn't even sure existed. Some looked like gnomes, small in stature, robust, and constantly had some sort of bug flying around their heads. The fairies, which I hadn't seen in their normal attire, fluttered around above the throne room, looking on.
"The Duke is second in command of the Rogue Army that has been planning these attacks on outlying territories away from the palace. All those who have limited connection with any electrical devices should be warned by traditional hawk lettering or by magical mirrors. Women who are not warriors and children will be taken into account and put behind the palace walls the best we can, but even a palace as a fortress can only hold so many people." Orion huffed out a breath, his wings darkening.
"Make no mistake, if any people betray me or the Moon Kingdom, you will be put to death on the spot. We have the numbers for this war, but we are dealing with a power that is not known and with the betrayal of Alpha Adam from the Toboki Tribe and its elders, we face great peril for the unforeseen future." The crowd grumbled and whispered to each other.
"Dismissed." The throne room filtered out. I held onto Creed's arm, who walked towards Orion.
"He will not be assembled just yet, my friend." His voice now turned into a cheery tone. "I would say by nightfall, and then you can have some fun while we question." Creed's stance was ridged. Peeking between the two Alpha men, my voice squeaked.
"He won't be able to get out, right? I don't have to see him?" I was terrified of seeing that man again. It was a different kind of fear he put into me. The helpless little mouse I was back then. Now that I have magic, I still didn't know if I could use it in front of him. His face only appeared in my nightmares when Creed was gone those few nights and it brought back a load of terrible memories with it.
"Not possible. He won't be able to leave the cell we have him in. The UV light is the same on the outside of the palace walls." Sighing in relief, Creed squeezed my hand. His rough thumb continued to rub across my knuckles.
At least he was captured and soon he would be no more.
