"The Unkindest Lie" Chapter 4
The two of them carried on from morning until night, regardless of the time, until the company’s business piled up into a mountain, only then did Julian reluctantly let Sienna go.
He came to the dining room in his suit, only to find the table completely empty.
Julian immediately called for the servants, his face darkening with a scowl: "What is going on? Nothing was prepared for breakfast?"
The servants were in a bind, whispering: "It was always Madam who prepared it in the past, and you never arranged for us to do it."
"And where is Madam?" Julian asked in annoyance. "Is she still sleeping at this hour?"
"Young Master Sterling, Madam is still on the roof." A bodyguard kindly reminded him.
Only then did Julian remember Celine. He said sternly, "Does she know she was wrong?"
The bodyguard replied: "Madam has already been unconscious for two days and two nights."
Chapter 6
Celine was carried down by a group of people. The moment her feet touched the ground, she regained consciousness, though she was weak from having had nothing to eat for two days.
The first thing she saw when she opened her eyes was a filthy, ruined piano.
"My piano!" She pushed away the bodyguards and stumbled toward it.
She reached out to brush the keys, but they no longer emitted any sound.
This was the final object left by her parents that she could cherish.
"Was it you?!" Anger instantly replaced the fear of the past two days and nights. Celine glared at Sienna, wishing she could tear her to pieces.
"I only played it a little," Sienna said, hands on her hips, unimpressed. "Who knew this piano of yours was such a piece of junk? I think it was already broken."
Celine wouldn't believe her nonsense. This piano was an coming-of-age gift from her parents, custom-made by the finest craftsmen—unique in the world—and she had always cherished it.
But now, the last shred of her connection to her parents was gone.
Celine’s eyes turned blood-red. Unable to bear it any longer, she charged at Sienna, swearing to drag her down to hell with her.
She was stopped by Julian’s lightning-fast reflexes, and a heavy slap landed across her face.
"Enough!" Julian’s words crashed down on her like a hammer. "It’s just a piano. Celine, stop acting like a madwoman. You’ve just been released; don’t force me to take action against you again."
His strength was immense. Celine covered her reddened cheek, mindlessly repeating his words: "Is it just a piano?"
With every word she spoke, tears rolled down like a broken string of pearls.
Julian looked at her desperate gaze and felt a strange panic in his heart, wanting to reach out to wipe away her tears.
But he didn't, because Sienna had already come forward to take his arm: "Exactly! You wanted to harm me over this, but luckily Brother Julian stopped you in time."

She turned to act spoiled toward Julian: "But being scared by her like this has made my stomach hurt. Brother Julian, can you take me to the hospital?"
"I'll buy you a new piano another day." Julian cast one look at the lost and broken Celine, dropped those words, and hurried off to the hospital with Sienna.
Only Celine remained, facing the broken piano.
Once, she would sit at this piano, playing Julian’s favorite sheet music for him.
She would have a smiling gaze, he would be polite and refined, and everyone praised them as a perfect match.
She had silently promised then that she would only ever play this piano for him.
Later, her parents passed away, and the piano became their legacy.
She thought in despair that now, she too had become their legacy, living alone in this world.
No. As long as she left Julian, her life could start over. The world outside was prosperous, and she was not alone.
Thinking this, she crawled up, wiped her tears, and pulled out her phone to check the progress of her departure paperwork.
Seeing that there was only one day left, she felt a renewed hope for life, but she was exhausted and fell asleep in her room shortly after.
Before dawn, Celine was awakened by a violent pounding on the door.
"Who is it?" She tried to crawl up to open the door, but in the next second, the door was smashed open.
Several bodyguards rushed in and, without a word, dragged her out, acting roughly.
"What are you doing?! Do you have any respect for me as the mistress of this house!" She struggled desperately.
"Madam, save your energy. You caused Miss Sienna to lose her child; the Young Master won't let you off."
Chapter 7
Celine stood frozen in place, momentarily stunned.
Her shock wasn't because Sienna had lost the baby, but because she couldn't fathom how the loss of the child had anything to do with her.
When she was brought downstairs, she saw Julian sitting there with a face as cold as frost, while Sienna sat to the side, weeping.
Celine was thrown before them and forced to her knees.
Julian looked at her, his eyes filled with immense pain and fury, his voice trembling with every word: "Celine, what else do you have to say for yourself?"
Celine stood upright and conducted herself with dignity; naturally, her expression remained unchanged. "It wasn't me."
Seeing she refused to repent, he waved a hand, sending bodyguards into her room. Moments later, they emerged with a medicine bottle found in her quarters.
Subsequent examination by a doctor confirmed that the medicine indeed contained ingredients capable of causing a miscarriage in pregnant women.
"I heard from the doctor that there is a banned drug from Southeast Asia that can lead to fetal demise. When Sienna found out she lost her child, she even begged me not to suspect you. I almost believed her, but it really was you! Celine, you’ve been caught red-handed. What else can you deny?"

Staring at the strange medicine bottle thrown before her, Celine understood instantly—this was just another setup.
Julian had already decided she was the culprit; no matter what she said, he would never believe her.
He had always been a stubborn man.
What she hadn't expected, however, was that Sienna would be willing to sacrifice her own pregnancy just to frame her, hating her to such an extreme.
Sienna sobbed pitifully on the side: "Sister Celine, I know you don't like me, but that was a life! It was Julian’s and my child, the flesh and blood of the Sterling family. How could you bear to commit such a cruel act?"
With a desire to condemn, one can always find a pretext. Celine mocked her coldly: "What else? Should I be the one to do your postpartum recovery for you?"
"Enough!" Hearing her admit it, Julian’s eyes filled with nothing but revulsion.
"Celine, you have challenged my bottom line again and again. Sienna never wanted to fight you for the position of Mrs. Sterling, yet you have tried to harm her at every turn."
"She has shed so much blood because of you. I want you to taste the same feeling of bleeding."
With that, he called the bodyguards to pin Celine down and used a small knife to slice through her skin, drawing her blood.
"Ah—"
As the sharp blade cut through her wrist, warm blood gushed out. Celine’s screams tore through the silent night sky.
It was too painful.
She collapsed into a pool of blood, taking one last look at Julian before losing consciousness.
The bodyguard asked him: "Young Master, Madam might die if she loses too much blood. Should we continue?"
He stood to the side, arm around Sienna’s shoulder, answering with a cold expression: "Keep going."
At that moment, Celine’s heart died completely. She closed her eyes heavily.
Even if she died, she accepted it. It would be her final departure from Julian Sterling, never to meet again in this lifetime.
Heaven was merciful; Celine did not die. When she woke up, she was in the hospital.
Recalling the scene before she fainted, her heart felt utterly hollow.
Then, her phone rang. It was a call from the embassy; the staff informed her that her permanent residency in the UK had been approved.
At that moment, Celine’s heart pounded, feeling a long-lost vitality coursing from her chest.
She was finally going to leave.
Julian wouldn't be at the hospital to care for her, but that actually made things easier for Celine. She immediately processed her discharge, bought a plane ticket, and contacted a lawyer to draw up the divorce agreement.
She had never imagined that signing a divorce agreement would feel so liberating.
She trusted that Julian would receive the news of the divorce soon.
But as for how he would react, that was no longer her concern.
Though she imagined he would be happy; after all, he loved Sienna so much.
Before her flight took off, Celine managed to get the contact information for Sienna’s boyfriend through an acquaintance and sent a message: [Your girlfriend is with someone else. You might want to check that.]
