"The Unkindest Lie" Chapter 5
She suddenly found it amusing. Sienna had long delayed making her relationship with Julian public precisely because she had another boyfriend.
And Julian loved her so much that he had abandoned his dignity as a man.
Now, she would officially complete their "happiness."
Celine whispered to Julian through the phone: "Julian Sterling, I wish you and Sienna a litter of eight sons."
Afterward, she permanently blocked his contact and boarded the plane!
Chapter 8
After Sienna’s miscarriage, her health was not as good as before. Julian felt very sorry for her and bought various expensive tonics for her.
Despite this, Sienna still couldn't sleep well day or night.
In the middle of another night, she woke up screaming, saying she had dreamed of their dead child, waking the sleeping Julian beside her.
Julian patiently held her in his arms to comfort her.
"We will have children in the future."
The next morning, Julian woke up feeling dizzy.
After spending the whole night soothing Sienna’s emotions, he had barely slept, and his stomach felt empty. The feeling was agonizing.
But he couldn't bear to blame Sienna, attributing all the responsibility to Celine’s jealousy.
Julian had a stomach ailment and was accustomed to hot breakfasts. But when the servant brought him a bowl of noodles, he took one bite and put down his chopsticks.
"Why does the taste differ so much from the past?"
The servant replied helplessly, "In the past, Madam always made it herself. I don't know the recipe."
At the mention of Celine, images flickered through Julian’s mind.
No matter how early it was, she would always be seated, dressed neatly, watching him finish his breakfast before helping him adjust his tie and seeing him off to work.
When he got off work, she would be standing at the door waiting for him.
It was as if whenever he turned his head, she would always be there in the same spot.
But now, seeing her nowhere in sight, Julian furrowed his brows and asked the servant: "Hasn't Madam been discharged and returned home yet?"
The servant shook their head.
Julian grew even more displeased: "It was just a bit of blood drawn. If her body is so delicate, how is she supposed to manage the Sterling estate?"
The servant who prepared breakfast had been Celine’s personal aide. She hesitated for a moment before saying, "Madam has actually always been anemic."
Julian’s brow twitched as he asked, "Is that so?"
"Yes. Your breakfasts in the past were all made by Madam. From kneading the dough to steaming, she did it all alone. She would have to rest after standing for a while. Every time she finally waited for you to finish breakfast and leave, she would ask you for a hug, but you would always refuse."
In three years of marriage, Celine had always been very conscious of her image before her beloved. Every morning, she would wear an exquisite nightgown and ask him after he finished breakfast: "Honey, was it good?"

Julian would dismissively mutter, "It’s okay."
To Celine, "it’s okay" was a compliment, and she would then boldy ask for a hug: "Consider it a reward for me."
He would simply ignore her, finding her annoying at the time.
He never imagined that the breakfasts he’d eaten for years were all handmade by her.
Seeing Julian remain silent, the servant grew bolder: "I’ll be honest, these years, you were too cold to Madam. Even if Miss Sienna is the one you love, Madam was the wife you legally married..."
Julian’s fingertips stopped. Recalling Celine’s often pale face, he uncharacteristically did not refute the servant.
He waved a hand: "Enough. These past days, I have indeed neglected her. When she returns from the hospital, as long as she agrees not to make things difficult for Sienna, she can continue to be Mrs. Sterling."
Celine loved him as her life; surely, she wouldn't be willing to give up the position of Mrs. Sterling.
Julian hadn't expected that his conversation with the servant would be overheard by someone else.
When he returned from work, he saw Sienna splash a bowl of bird’s nest soup onto the servant from that morning, causing instant blisters on her hands.
Sienna was not satisfied, pointing at her and cursing: "Are you trying to scald me to death? Is this how your master taught you to serve me?!"
Julian hurried over to comfort her: "Alright, don't lower yourself to a servant's level."
With someone to back her, Sienna became even more smug: "Julian, this servant close to Celine tried to harm me. Cut off one of her fingers to avenge me."
Julian’s expression stiffened: "Wouldn't that be too cruel..."
"You say I’m cruel?" Sienna pushed him away, her temper flaring. "Aren't you cruel to me? I lost a child for you and almost lost my life, yet you only want to keep Celine by your side. Do you think I didn't hear what you said?!"
Julian looked at her deeply: "Then are you willing to break up for my sake? You were the one who refused to break up first."
A flash of panic crossed Sienna’s face, and she quickly grabbed his hand: "Julian, it’s not that I don't want to break up, it’s just that breaking up takes time. He won't let me go so easily."
Julian replied calmly: "I said, I can help you."
Sienna certainly knew Julian was good to her, but she wanted more than that.
Her boyfriend was also a wealthy second-generation heir in the circle, and more importantly, he was unmarried. How could she easily let go of that?
And Julian was already married. Her repeated attempts to drive a wedge between them hadn't led to a divorce.
She loved Julian, but she loved wealth and status even more; she wanted the benefits of both worlds.
Under her soothing words, Julian soon returned to his usual self, but when he returned to his room alone, he felt an inexplicable restlessness.

Chapter 9
Another morning, Julian woke up to find Celine still nowhere to be seen.
This time, he called the bodyguards directly: "Go see how much longer Madam needs to be discharged."
Soon, the bodyguards returned to report: "Young Master, the hospital says Madam was discharged two days ago."
Julian’s expression sank instantly.
Celine was discharged and didn't come home?
"Where did she go? You people were all there, and no one was watching her at the hospital?" He erupted in a rage.
"It was you who said there was no need to worry about her," the bodyguard tactfully reminded him. "Two days ago, Miss Sienna said the house wasn't clean, and you mobilized everyone to guard her."
At the mention of Sienna, he calmed down: "Forget it. Perhaps she’s just throwing a tantrum. She has no money and nowhere to go; she’ll come back on her own in a couple of days."
He knew Celine too well and knew she couldn't get very far.
In the past, when he forgot their birthday dinner, Celine would wait alone at a mountain-top restaurant until midnight. The next day, she would make a fuss about returning to her maiden home.
But her parents were already gone, and the house had been sold. She had no maiden home to return to. She would wander outside for two or three days, spend all her money, and then come running back, crying, "Honey, I was wrong."
He believed this time would be the same.
Thinking this, Julian felt much more at ease. Over the next few days, to soothe Sienna’s mood after losing the child, he set aside the company’s business and spent every day with her.
They went to the amusement park Celine had always wanted to visit but he had found too childish; when they reached the top of the Ferris wheel, Sienna leaned over to kiss him.
They watched the latest movie, and Sienna leaned against him, deeply moved: "Julian, the love between the leads is just like ours. It hasn't been easy to get to where we are."
They went camping to watch the stars, and Sienna wrapped her legs around his waist in the tent, spending a fiery night together.
Finally, at the restaurant Celine loved most, they had a candlelight dinner. Julian prepared ninety-nine roses and a meticulously chosen gift. The moment Sienna saw it, she screamed and threw herself into his arms, drawing frequent glances from the people in the restaurant.
Halfway through the meal, Julian suddenly felt gastric discomfort and stood up to go to the restroom, where he ran into the restaurant’s chef.
The man was a foreigner, gesturing at Julian in less-than-standard Chinese: "Mr. Sterling, you’re here to dine with Madam again?"
Julian nodded and turned to leave.
The foreigner followed, asking, "Is Mr. Sterling’s stomach ailment better?"
Julian was puzzled, pausing to ask, "How do you know I have a stomach ailment?"
"Our whole kitchen staff knows. It’s all thanks to your wife. Our restaurant’s food leans toward spicy, but your wife would always come personally to instruct me not to add chili."
