"The Dilemma of a Bomb Disposal Specialist" Chapter 10
Seraphina stumbled, leaning against the wall to keep from falling. She looked at Caspian, still live-streaming, and her gaze slowly turned bloodshot.
"Caspian, I won't let you off."
Caspian sat in front of the camera, covered in injuries, with tears of blood streaming down.
"I was clearly the victim, but now I'm being pushed out as a scapegoat. The Sterling family owes me an explanation."
"To cover up the fact that she loves me, Seraphina deliberately married Silas. Now that the truth is out, she wants to push me out to quell public opinion. She even kidnapped me, trying to use fireworks to bomb me, creating the illusion of an accident."
Hearing these words, the chat in the live stream exploded.
"Seraphina is worse than an animal! Not only did she harm two men, but she also harmed her own child and father."
"This is intentional homicide. Arrest her immediately! Don't let her go on to harm others."
"Seraphina is too terrifying; if she can't have something, she wants to destroy it. Caspian's biggest mistake was being adopted by the Sterling family; it was like a sheep entering a tiger's den. Perhaps Seraphina's father wasn't any good either; after all, with those genes, it's fortunate that he's already dead."
Caspian looked at the chat, seeing people defending him, and a triumphant smile curled at the corners of his mouth.
But the next second, a person claiming to be an insider suddenly appeared in the chat.
[Caspian is lying. I have all the evidence of his crimes in my hands.]
Chapter 21
Caspian clearly panicked when he saw the user's ID.
"Everyone, don't listen to his nonsense! I am innocent; I haven't done anything. He must be one of Seraphina's people, deliberately trying to smear me."
But then, the person released a recording.
"Get all these fireworks re-rigged for me. I want Silas to be bombed the moment he lights them. It would be best if he could be left with no place to be buried."
The moment Caspian's sharp voice came through, the atmosphere in the live stream changed instantly.
"So Caspian was the real ruthless character. Everything he did just now was an act to gain our sympathy and manipulate public opinion."
"In my opinion, neither of the Sterling siblings is a good person; they are birds of a feather. The most miserable person is still Silas."
"If it weren't for Caspian ruining Silas's eyes, Seraphina's parents wouldn't have ended up dead and disabled due to a lack of rescue. This Caspian must hate the Sterling family!"
Watching the screen full of abuse directed at him, Caspian roared with a hideous expression.
"This is all slander! I didn't do it! It's all dirty water splashed on me by Seraphina to destroy me."
Caspian picked up the water cup on the table and smashed it fiercely at the camera.
His expression was hideous and terrifying.

"Seraphina, I won't let it end like this."
As he spoke, the entire live stream suddenly plunged into darkness, as if the world had gone quiet.
A flash of unease crossed Caspian's mind. The next second, a pair of hands tightly covered his mouth and nose.
When he opened his eyes again, Caspian found himself in a basement with no sunlight.
And sitting right in front of him was Seraphina.
Caspian looked at her vigilantly.
"What do you want? Kidnapping someone is illegal."
Seraphina gave a light laugh, reaching out to grip Caspian’s chin tightly.
"Illegal? Caspian, you caused Silas to lose the ability to distinguish colors and caused my father's death. Your hands are dirtier than mine, and you're talking to me about illegal?"
Seeing Seraphina's terrifying gaze, Caspian retreated in fear.
"What do you want to do? I just live-streamed. If something happens to me now, those netizens will definitely suspect you."
Mentioning the live stream, Seraphina's expression darkened, and she grabbed Caspian's hair and slammed his head against the wall.
"How dare you mention the live stream to me? If it weren't for you, my mother wouldn't have suffered a cerebral hemorrhage from anger. Caspian, dying ten thousand times wouldn't be enough to pay for your crimes."
Caspian felt a sharp pain in his head, and then Seraphina pushed him away forcefully.
A mouthful of bright red blood surged from Caspian's mouth, and the fear of death made him tremble uncontrollably.
"I was wrong, Sister. I really know I was wrong. Please, I beg you, let me go, okay? I will do whatever you want in the future without any complaints. Just please let me go once, okay?"
Seraphina pulled Caspian up and reached out to choke his neck.
"Let you go? Then who let Silas go, and who let my father go?"
"Caspian, people have to pay the price for what they have done."
After saying this, Seraphina threw him away heavily and opened the door.
As the door opened, two bodyguards walked in from outside.
Caspian's face changed dramatically when he saw the men.
"Seraphina, what are you trying to do?"
Seraphina looked at him indifferently, her eyes full of coldness.
"If it weren't for you back then, Silas's mother wouldn't have been humiliated, and she wouldn't have jumped off the building."
"Every bit of harm you caused Silas, I will pay you back one by one."
After saying this, Seraphina turned to leave.
Caspian, however, suddenly shouted sternly.
"I know where Silas is."
Seraphina paused, then immediately pulled the person on the ground up.
"Where is my Silas?"
Chapter 22
Caspian looked at Seraphina and gave a light laugh.
"As long as you let me go, I’ll tell you where Silas is."
Seraphina’s eyes bloodshot, she reached out and gripped Caspian’s throat with force.
"Speak. This is the last chance I’m giving you."
Due to the intense feeling of suffocation, Caspian’s entire face turned a deep purple, and even his voice became unnervingly raspy.

He looked at Seraphina, nearly begging.
"In Country M."
"He has already hooked up with Lydia and is now the chief demolition engineer for the Lin Group."
"Haven't you been watching the news? The project you wanted most was snatched away by Lydia, and Silas is her accomplice."
Seraphina paused, the news report she had watched a few days ago flashing through her mind—the project for the reconstruction of the cross-sea bridge.
Seraphina quickly released Caspian, strode out, and began calling her assistant as she walked.
"Book me a ticket to Country M immediately."
"Silas, I’m coming to take you home."
Caspian watched Seraphina’s departing back and roared in despair.
"Seraphina, I’ve already told you where Silas is! You can't just leave like this—let me go, quickly!"
But the only response he received was the mocking laughter of a man echoing in the enclosed space.
"Keep shouting! No matter how loud you scream, no one is coming to save you."
After leaving the basement, Seraphina rushed to the airport without a moment’s rest.
She sat in the back seat, continuously replaying the news, until she finally saw that figure she had been missing day and night at the end of a press conference.
"Silas, so you were always right in front of my eyes, never having disappeared at all."
Suddenly, Seraphina noticed that Lydia, sitting beside Silas, kept her gaze fixed on him, her eyes filled with admiration and a trace of uncontrollable joy.
Seraphina clenched her fists tightly, the jealousy in her eyes nearly overflowing.
"Silas is mine, and he can only be mine."
Seraphina then pulled the sarira relic from her pocket, her expression gradually becoming crazed.
"Silas, I will definitely bring you home."
Country M.
Silas had just finished a demolition job and was tiredly packing up his testing equipment.
Suddenly, a pair of hands naturally took the detector from Silas’s grasp.
"The project launch was a great success; the next part is up to the construction department."
"Tonight, we’re hosting a cocktail party to celebrate. Several enterprise CEOs will be there; they admire your professional demolition skills greatly and have some questions they’d like to consult you on."
Silas turned to look at Lydia, his gaze sincere.
"You’re trying to help me pave a smoother path for the future, aren't you?"
"A fired bomb disposal expert turned into a color-blind demolitionist—between these two identities, other than you, Lydia, who dared to promote me, no one else in this world would have done it!"
Lydia was stunned for a moment, then suddenly broke into a smile.
"Silas, are you underestimating yourself, or are you underestimating me?"
"I am a businesswoman first, and a woman second."
"Your ability is known to the world. Projects that demolitionists around the world dare not take, only you dare to touch. If it weren't for you, I, Lydia, wouldn't have been able to secure the cross-sea bridge project."
Hearing Lydia’s words, Silas was slightly stunned.
The afternoon sun fell upon her, as if even he, standing in the shadows, were illuminated by it.
Lydia stood on her tiptoes and gently rubbed his hair.
