"The Divorce Strike: I Withdrew 76 Million to Topple Them" Chapter 5
I replied to Lena.
"Don't delete it".
Lena asked: "Not handling it?"
I said: "I am handling it".
"How?"
I typed.
"The board meeting tomorrow, I’ll be there in person".
On the day of the Fu Medical board meeting, I arrived neither early nor late.
Outside the conference room, the sister was talking to a few shareholders' wives.
When she saw me, she immediately raised her voice.
"Oh, Clara Shen, you still have the nerve to come?"
Everyone around looked over.
The mother sat to one side, her face wearing a look of anticipation for a good show.

Mina was also there.
She was dressed very plainly today, looking as if she had been wronged to an extreme degree.
The sister walked up to me, holding her phone.
"Didn't you say my brother cheated during the marriage? Then who is this man?"
She shoved the photo in front of me.
"What is your relationship with him?"
I didn't move.
"You want to know?"
"Of course".
The sister sneered.
"Everyone look, this is my former sister-in-law, claiming to be a victim while being busy behind the scenes".
I asked: "Are you sure you want me to explain this in public?"
"Explain, then".
She said: "Don't tell me it's some ordinary friend; what ordinary friend picks you up at the hospital late at night?"
I looked at the mother.
"Does the mother want to hear it too?"
The mother gave a cold hum.
"If you are innocent, then speak clearly".
I nodded.
"Fine".
I took out my phone and dialed a number.
The call was answered quickly.
I put it on speakerphone.
"Clara?"
The man's voice came through.
The sister immediately looked triumphant.
"Everyone hear that? So intimate".
I said: "Gu Shi'an, two years ago on the night of March 16th, why did you come to the hospital to pick me up?"
There was a pause on the other end.
"You had contacted a specialist in the capital for the mother. I happened to be at a foundation meeting and drove you over to pick up the documents".
I asked: "Who did you give the documents to?"
"I gave them to Julian’s mother".
The area outside the conference room fell silent instantly.
The mother's face turned ugly immediately.
I looked at her.
"Mother, your follow-up results were good that time, remember?"
The mother opened her mouth.
The sister didn't believe it.
"Stop acting! Who knows if you two colluded!"
Gu Shi'an’s voice came from the phone.
"Ms. Fu, if necessary, I can have the hospital pull the registration records from that night".
The sister started to speak again.
Someone shouted from the conference room elevator.
"Mr. Gu is here".
Gu Shi'an himself walked over.
He was wearing a simple black overcoat, followed by two foundation staff members.
Several shareholders of the company stood up straight immediately.
Someone whispered: "Why did he come?"

Gu Shi'an walked to my side.
"I originally intended to enter the meeting venue first, but it seems it's livelier outside".
The sister’s face turned pale.
Mina’s fingers tightened on her bag strap.
Gu Shi'an looked at the crowd.
"The car in that photo is a foundation vehicle. The pick-up at the hospital entrance was for the specialist consultation for the mother".
He placed a copy of a document on the table.
"This is the registration from that night".
The sister stopped talking.
I looked at her.
"Do you want to continue spreading rumors?"
She gritted her teeth.
"Who knows if you two have anything private..."
Gu Shi'an interrupted her.
"Ms. Fu, think clearly before you speak".
His tone was calm.
"What you are slandering today is not just Clara Shen, but also the foundation".
Several shareholders' wives began to whisper.
"So it was for the mother's medical treatment".
"Taking people's favors and then turning around to attack them".
The mother couldn't hold her face up.
"Sia must have misunderstood".
I looked at her.
"Are misunderstandings allowed to be posted on social media?"
The sister was stubborn.
"I didn't name any names".
I handed the screenshot to Patrick.
Patrick spoke up in public.
"The sister's post, including the image, text, and comment guidance, is very clear. If there is no public apology, we will take further measures".
The sister panicked.
"You only know how to scare people with lawyers!"
I said: "You can also use facts".
She had nothing left to say.

The conference room door opened.
Chairman Fu walked out.
He saw Gu Shi'an and immediately changed his expression.
"Mr. Gu, what brings you here?"
Gu Shi'an said: "Didn't you invite the foundation to participate in your new project?"
Chairman Fu was delighted.
"Yes, yes, we have always been very sincere."
Gu Shi'an closed the file.
"Now it seems that your company does not even have the most basic respect for its public welfare partners. The foundation will not be participating in this project."
The smile on Chairman Fu's face vanished.
"Mr. Gu, this is just a young child being ignorant."
Gu Shi'an looked at the sister.
"She is an adult."
The sister's face turned beet red.
Mina hurriedly stepped out.
"Mr. Gu, please don't misunderstand. Sia is just worried about her family. Ms. Clara has been putting a lot of pressure on the Fu family recently, so she was just emotional."
Gu Shi'an looked at her.
"Ms. Mina, I also watched your livestream last night."
Mina's face went white.
Gu Shi'an said: "You said that some people were throwing their weight around to bully others."
Mina whispered: "I didn't name anyone."
I smiled.
"You Fu family members really love that line."
Chairman Fu suppressed his anger.
"Enough. Let's have the meeting."
I said: "As it happens, I also have a document to submit to the board."
Chairman Fu looked at me.

"You are not a shareholder of Fu Medical; you are not qualified to attend."
Patrick stepped forward.
"Ms. Clara is attending today as the authorized representative of Evergreen Capital."
Chairman Fu froze entirely.
"What did you say?"
Patrick presented the authorization letter.
"Madame Evelyn has authorized Ms. Clara to represent Evergreen Capital in handling all subsequent matters related to Fu Medical."
The area outside the conference room was in an uproar.
Julian had just walked over from the elevator and happened to hear this.
He looked at me.
"Clara Shen, when did you..."
I said: "While you were busy taking Mina to buy jewelry."
Julian's face looked terrible.
Chairman Fu stared at the authorization letter.
"Clara, this is not a child's game."
I asked: "Chairman Fu, do you think Evergreen Capital would gamble 76 million just to play along with me?"
Chairman Fu fell silent.
I walked into the conference room.
Behind me, the sister suddenly shouted.
"Clara Shen! Don't think that just because you have an authorization letter you can do whatever you want!"
I turned back.
"Sia, I am giving you until 8:00 PM tonight to apologize on your social media."
She was trembling with rage.
I added: "Don't bother deleting your account; it won't work."
Inside the conference room, the directors of Fu Medical sat upright.
Chairman Fu sat at the head of the table with a grim expression.
Julian sat to his right. Mina tried to follow them in but was blocked at the door by Patrick.
"Non-participants are not allowed inside."
Mina looked aggrievedly at Julian.
"Julian."
Just as Julian was about to speak, Chairman Fu interrupted: "Wait outside."
Mina couldn't save face and had to retreat to the door.
I sat down.
Chairman Fu spoke.
"Since Evergreen has authorized you to attend, let's talk directly. Fu Medical needs time. The withdrawal of capital was too sudden; it does not benefit either side."
I asked: "When you say 'both sides,' Chairman Fu, do you mean Fu Medical and Evergreen, or the Fu family and me?"
He paused.
"Both."
I said: "Then let's talk about them separately."
I pushed the first file toward him.
"For public matters, Evergreen Capital is withdrawing according to the agreement, and the process is legal. If Fu Medical has any objections, you can follow the legal procedures."
Chairman Fu didn't reply.
I pushed the second file forward.
"For private matters, Julian transferred common marital assets during our marriage. The 1.32 million is only the part calculated so far. There is more to come."
Julian's face turned even uglier.
"Clara Shen, do you really have to calculate it like this?"
I said: "You wrote the divorce agreement so meticulously; naturally, I had to learn from it."
A director asked in a low voice: "Mr. Fu, are these matters true?"
Julian didn't answer.
Chairman Fu immediately said: "This is a problem between the husband and wife."
11
I looked at that director.
"Fu Medical is about to seek external financing. If the management has property disputes and public opinion risks, whether the investors will mind is something you know better than I do."
The director fell silent.
Chairman Fu's tone lowered.
"Clara, what do you want?"
I said: "Three things."
