"The Billionaire’s Regret" Chapter 6

And that final, dead look in her eyes when she was dragged away by the police...

So, those habits that had already merged into his life, those unintentional moments of care, the inexplicable irritability he felt when he saw her smiling at others...

It wasn't responsibility, it wasn't habit—it was love.

He had long since fallen for the woman who had slowly warmed him over three years.

Yet, he loved without knowing it.

"Ah—!!"

Julian clutched his head, letting out a beastly howl, tears rolling down mingled with the blood from his mouth.

He was wrong.

Wrong beyond belief, wrong beyond redemption!

"I have to go find her..." Julian stood up abruptly, stumbling as he rushed out, "I have to bring her back... I have to kneel and beg her for forgiveness..."

Gu Yan watched his frantic state and said coldly: "Where will you find her? Haven City is huge; Mason has hidden her away, do you think you can find her?"

"I’ll turn the whole country upside down, but I’ll find her!" Julian roared.

Gu Yan was silent for a moment, then sighed: "Before that, clean up your mess. I found something recently, about Chloe. That 'depression' diagnosis she has from abroad? It looks like she bought it."

Chapter 11

Gu Yan’s words were like a thunderbolt.

"Not only that," Gu Yan took out his phone and pulled up an investigative report, "Her late husband’s inheritance was actually mostly gambled away by her. She returned to the country to find you not because she was homesick, but because she was in debt to loan sharks abroad and couldn't survive there anymore."

Julian’s pupils shook violently; he snatched the phone, his fingers trembling as he flipped through the evidence.

The fragility, helplessness, and pitiful nature he thought she possessed were actually hides for such ugly schemes and lies.

Even her so-called "hemophobia" and "PTSD" were all performances for him!

When Julian returned to that temporarily rented apartment, radiating coldness and killing intent, Chloe was applying a face mask, humming a tune, in a very good mood.

Seeing him return reeking of alcohol, she immediately put on a worried expression and came forward.

"Julian, why did you drink so much? Are you still worried about Sienna?" She reached out to help him, "Don't worry, Sienna just said that out of anger; once she’s suffered enough out there and has no money, she will naturally come back."

"Get out."

Julian violently shoved her hand away with such force that Chloe fell directly beside the coffee table.

She looked up in shock, meeting Julian’s scarlet, terrifying eyes, which were churning with rage and disgust.

"Julian... what’s wrong?" Chloe panicked, "Did I do something wrong?"

"What is that smell on you?" Julian suddenly leaned in, staring fixedly at her.

Chloe’s eyes flickered: "Nothing... just... the new perfume I bought..."

"I’m asking you, that day at the banquet, were you doing it on purpose?!" Julian slammed a stack of printed surveillance screenshots into her face.

The papers flew through the air, each one clearly recording: in a corner where no one was looking, how Chloe had quietly moved that vase to the edge of the table, and how she had pretended to fall, pushing it down in the process.

"And!" Julian gripped her chin, his voice trembling with extreme anger, "You said you had hemophobia? Heh, Chloe, the investigative report says it clearly: when you were abroad trying to dodge gambling debts, you even dared to use a knife to cut people. Why didn't you have hemophobia then? You just couldn't stand me showing Sienna the slightest bit of kindness, couldn't stand me giving her my clothes! You pretended to faint on purpose, forcing me to drive her away in that heavy rain!"

With every sentence he spoke, his grip tightened, and Chloe wept from the pain, her makeup ruined.

"Julian... I didn't... I love you... I wanted to replace her and stay by your side..."

"You think you’re worthy?" Julian tossed her aside like trash, looking down at her, "Chloe, I see it clearly now. I see clearly that the lunatic standing before you, the scumbag who personally drove the person he loved most into prison, was created bit by bit by you—and by me!"

"Sienna had a miscarriage because I saved you first; Sienna went to jail because I identified her for you."

Julian laughed, a sound more wretched than crying, "I’m truly a damn scumbag."

He took a deep breath and regained his cold demeanor: "Pack your things, get out."

Chloe turned deathly pale: "Julian, you can't kick me out! I have depression; I’ll die..."

"Then go die." Julian said expressionlessly, "I will send you to that closed-ward mental hospital in the suburbs. Since you’re sick, treat it well in there. If you’re not cured, don't think about ever coming out. As for the loan shark debts you owe, I will tell those creditors where you are. Good luck."

Chloe’s face drained of all color in an instant, and she screamed frantically: "Julian, you can't do this to me! He died to save you! You promised to take care of me—"

"You aren't worthy to mention him." Julian interrupted coldly, "Take her away."

Two men in black, who had been waiting outside the door, rushed in. Regardless of Chloe’s struggling and crying, they dragged her out like a dead dog.

The world was finally quiet.

Julian stood in the empty living room, looking at the evidence scattered on the floor, and suddenly bent over, retching violently.

All that came up was stomach acid and endless remorse.

Chapter 12

After handling Chloe, Julian flew to Haven City overnight.

He utilized all his connections, even resorting to begging those business rivals he once despised the most.

Three days later, he finally had news.

"Mr. Fu, we found her. Miss Li... is now staying at Riverside No. 1 in Haven City. That is Mason's private residence."

His subordinate paused, his voice tightening, "Also, tomorrow evening, the Qin family is holding an engagement banquet at the Peninsula Hotel. The leading lady... is Miss Li."

Engagement.

These two words were like bullets, shattering Julian’s knees.

Mason.

The man who had saved Sienna in the landslide. The all-powerful head of the Haven City Qin family, known for his ruthless methods and lack of interest in women—except for Sienna.

How could his Sienna be marrying someone else so quickly?

No! Impossible! She loved him; she had loved him for ten full years!

Julian rushed out of the club like a madman, drove a borrowed car, floored the accelerator, and headed straight for Riverside No. 1.

But it was a high-end gated community, and he couldn't get in.

He kept watch at the gate for an entire night, smoking three packs of cigarettes.

Until late the following afternoon, a black Rolls-Royce slowly drove out of the community gates.

The window was half-down, and Julian immediately saw the figure sitting in the back seat.

Sienna.

She was wearing a custom-made champagne-colored gown, her hair swept up to reveal a slender, fair neck. She was holding an invitation in her hand, leaning toward the man beside her and saying something, a faint smile on her lips.

It was a relaxed, cherished kind of smile.

The man beside her, dressed in a perfectly tailored dark gray suit, possessed an elegant, cold, and arrogant aura. He was leaning down to adjust her skirt, his gaze so tender it seemed it could drip water.

It was indeed Mason.

"Sienna!"

Julian roared, threw his cigarette butt away, and rushed forward recklessly, blocking the car.

A harsh screech of brakes rang out.

The Rolls-Royce stopped just centimeters from his knees.

Julian rushed to the back window, clutching it desperately, his voice trembling: "Sienna! Get out! Come home with me! I know I was wrong, I really know I was wrong... I won't divorce you, the agreement was fake, it doesn't count!"

The window slowly rolled down.

Sienna turned her head, looking at the gaunt man outside the window.

He had lost a lot of weight, his eye sockets were sunken, his chin was covered in blue stubble, and those once-arrogant eyes were now full of bloodshot veins and pleading.

But Sienna’s gaze was as calm as if she were looking at a stranger.

Mason nonchalantly draped his arm around Sienna’s shoulders, asserting his ownership, his peach-blossom eyes narrowing slightly with dangerous cold light: "Mr. Fu, are you trying to stage a collision with my car? What, is the road in the capital not wide enough for you to throw your weight around?"

Julian ignored him entirely, staring only at Sienna: "Wife, let’s go home, okay? I kicked Chloe out, I’ll never pay attention to her again, I’ll give you all my assets, I’ll come home to accompany you every day..."

"Mr. Fu." Sienna interrupted him.

Those three words were so estranged that Julian’s heart stopped beating.

Sienna looked at him, her tone cold: "We are already divorced. Also, this is my fiancé, Mason."
